Despite approximately 60 attempts to change November’s election results, Donald Trump still lost. The fat lady sang (the blues and she finished with some happy news.)

On Saturday, January 2, Donald Trump made another “perfect phone call. It was an hour-long conversation with the Secretary of the State of Georgia, and lordy there are tapes. On Sunday the Washington Post played a four-minute excerpt.

Those four minutes were enough for us to learn that Donald Trump broke the law, again. He demanded Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger find him exactly 11,780 votes. That would have given him one vote more than Joe Biden meaning the results would change and Trump would win the state of Georgia. He told Raffensperger:

“You know there’s nothing wrong with saying that you’ve recalculated.”

Trump is scheduled to appear at a rally in Georgia on Monday to throw his support behind the two Republicans whose runoff election, to be held on Tuesday, will determine the balance of the Senate. What are the odds that Trump cancels his plans to attend?

Doh. The White House just released Trump’s schedule for Monday:

“President Trump will work from early in the morning until late in the evening. He will make many calls and have many meetings.”

January 6th has been taken up as a cause by a dozen Republican Senators and 140 GOP members of the House of Representatives who plan to oppose the results of the electoral college, alleging allegations of fraud. Yes, I meant to say that. They have no proof, so they can not win this fight. The most they can do is delay the certification by ten days. If they succeed in the delay we’ll have four days left until January 20 when this Hell ends as scheduled. Either way, Trump will use his remaining time for another pardonpalooza, pardoning himself and those on his friends and family plan. He also might resign, “for health reasons,” and hope Mike Pence issues him a backup pardon.

Under our Constitution, the role of Congress on January 6 is to witness the opening of certificates and the counting of votes by the president of the Senate. Every state certified its results. This is a formality. To use this occasion to interject their own desired results for those of the states is to reject a basic tenet of our system.

Republican judges, even those appointed by this administration have thrown out all of Trump’s 60 lawsuits. Every election official he has approached has rejected his claims of election fraud.

The department of homeland security has said the 2020 election was the most secure in U.S. history.

Even Trump’s former Attorney General, Bill Barr, the guy who shielded Trump from the Mueller report and did untold unethical maneuvering to protect him, rejected voter fraud claims.

Trump must know that states like New York and now Georgia have enough evidence to cuff him at 12:01 on January 20, right after Biden is inaugurated. He’s desperate.

Despite the impossibility of overturning this election, an election where the difference in popular and electoral votes show a clear winner, Trump has managed to corral eleven GOP senators into disputing President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral win on January 6, despite numerous state recounts, and a lack of evidence, GOP incumbents up for reelection in 2022 have chosen to support Trump’s baseless accusations of voter fraud. This seditious behavior is considered by many to be political posturing by the likes of Ted G(agMe) Cruz who would like to win over Trump’s supporters for his 2024 Presidential run.

GOP Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri was the first senator to announce he would be joining a group of House Republicans whose hope is to force a ten-day audit.

“Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states, once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed.“

Reminder: Trump already appointed a voter fraud commission. It did not find evidence of widespread voter fraud.

Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin have already conducted public post-election audits. The process for verifying and certifying the election in these states has already taken place. January 6th is not a do-over. It’s over.

How Trump managed to convince so many members of Congress to support his last discharge effort to hold onto power can be heard in the tape of his conversation with the Georgia Secretary of State.

I know what you’re thinking. Is it really illegal for Congress to toss out an election, (but only the presidential election because they like the results of Congressional races on the same ticket,) disenfranchising over 81 million people and thereby engaging in a coup to overthrow the government, just because their dictator lost? Let’s check the constitution.

Trump continues to incite violence by calling on his base to take to the streets on January 6, to fight for him on Wednesday. Hate groups, like the ‘Proud Boys’, are planning to dress “incognito,” in black. This is not a new tactic for them. They want the Media to report Antifa violence, and they want to confuse the police.

The public would be wise to stay home on January 6.

• In 2017 he signed a tax cut for corporations and the filthy rich. He paid only $750 in federal taxes.
• He mismanaged the pandemic, causing 350,000.

• His regular golf outings have cost taxpayers $144,000,000.
