Current topics of discussion, as of late, have left me uninspired to write.
The following joke is making the rounds:
Q: What’s the difference between Trump and Greenland?
A: You can’t buy Greenland.
The man who inspirits humor, among those who can still laugh, is not useful for much else, asking philosophical questions out of ignorance, with the confidence only a narcissistic psychopath could have.
The pretender to the White House asks scientists to ponder his solution to increasingly destructive and violent hurricanes. They are a result of the climate crisis, a phenomenon of a truth, which is inconvenient for him to believe. (He now denies having suggested this.)
“I got it. I got it. Why don’t we nuke them? They start forming across the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane, and it disrupts it. Why can’t we do that?” —45 asked during a White House hurricane briefing
The correct answer is: because doing so would essentially create a nuclear hurricane, spreading the release radioactive fallout with trade winds, creating devastating environmental problems, causing death and mass destruction, and no evidence suggests its force would disrupt the hurricane.
Not that he deserves this qualifying fairness, but he isn’t the first person to ask the question. I think stupid thoughts in mass, at rapid speed, but I don’t say them out loud unless I’ve done a little research.
He could bulk package his idiocy and sell it at a warehouse club, under a Chinese trademark with his brand’s logo.
Some of his other ideas:
- In keeping with his bombing theme- he made a suggested to professional fire fighting officials in Paris that they ”water bomb the fire at Notre-Dame,”
- He thought raking leaves would prevent forest fires,
- He discovered what doctors have not—windmills cause noise cancer, he alone has seen thousands of dead birds lying next to windmills, and he knows of televisions blacking out on days when flying a kite would be impossible— perhaps disrupting your viewing of Fox News.
*Windmills are the eco-friendly replacement solution to oil. 45’s puppet masters in Saudi Arabia and the Kremlin don’t want oil replaced. Everything is about money. When this certified ass-clown attempts to discuss: philosophy, science, politics, and or religious ideologies, all are left degraded— 🤔, much like his occupation of the White House has degraded the office of the president.
We all have the right to share and discuss ideas without ridicule, but how many of us are so delusional about our mental prowess that we would suggest bombing the weather or battling forest fires with rakes, knowing the world is listening—without so much as a Google search.
I am disheartened. I see the forest for the trees- unrelated to raking. Corruption, greed, and power are killing humanity and the planet. America is torturing children, be it by kidnapping and caging them, or sexual exploitation.
We are taught to take pride in our American history, “land of the free and the home of the brave,” but the truth is, we were founded by men who committed genocide and became wealthy on the backs of slaves.
Who remembers a poem this
Columbus Day Poem:
It’s a lie.
As a parent of three students, I have shared their justifiable fear of gun violence. I would also voice their generation’s despondent outlook in general.
It is not only the far-reaching corruption of governments that worries them, but it is also the policy effects on climate change: ignoring melting polar ice caps, and the burning of the Amazon Rain Forest for profit.
We see the defiant pride, on photographic display, among the heartless, bored and entitled wealthy, who hunt endangered species.
Nazis have been emboldened to emerge from the shadows of society, primarily because our current governing powers lack ethics. I’m not the first to say that not all who support this administration are racists, but all racists support this administration.
Worst of all is that the greed we witness is terminal. Americans are dying because the Pharmaceutical industry has artificially priced insulin as the sixth most expensive liquid in the world, 2.76 times more than the price of mercury.

Fewer Americans are choosing to have children because of the bleak outlook. It’s an unspoken no-replacement policy. For the first time in history, Americans are dying at a higher rate than they are reproducing. That fact, along with their desire to control women, might be part of the rightwing pseudo-Christian effort to eliminate birth control.
I can only agree with our downhearted youth. I don’t believe things will work themselves out. Our only hope is to rise above the corruption and greed and take back the country, and then work with other governments, as we had been, to save the planet. We may not be able to reverse the destruction, but we can try to repair some of the damage and at least slow the progression.
”Adults keep saying— ‘We owe it to the young people to give them hope.’ But I don’t want your hope. I don’t want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. And then I want you to act. I want you to act as if your house is on fire because it is.” —Swedish Climate Activist, Greta Thunberg, age 16
Our house is on fire.
I’ve suggested a few documentaries this year, that explain our current state of affairs— ’Active Measures’ and ’The Great Hack, ’An Inconvenient Truth,’ ’Cowspiracy,’ now I’d like to suggest a new Netflix series, ’The Family.’

You have reached the endpoint of my pointless post. I should mitigate my negativity with words to the effect of ”don’t give up hope because things are looking up.” So I will point out a seemingly positive change of direction among fast-food giants Burger King and KFC. They now have vegan options on their menu, for what that’s worth. Perhaps the next documentary I suggest will be about the meat industry conspiring to murder vegan liberals by clogging their arteries with fried food. That is a joke— I suppose.
Trump suggested dropping nuclear bombs into hurricanes to stop them from hitting the U.S.
I don’t think there’s much hope. I will vote Dem, but even if we switch back for a few rounds, what will fundamentally change? Obama didn’t really change much of anything re the underlying greed motive that prevails throughout our culture. In fact, the Obamas themselves are buying an enormous estate now. What do they care about the rest of us or the environment at this point? The Dems go into govt same as the Reps… to amass power and money. What has Nancy Pelosi done to help anything since she got her speakership back? It’s all really upsetting.

The people who hoard money, those who bought the politicians, have stacked the decks in a way that makes it difficult if not impossible to change. I wonder if the government has always been this corrupt and if Trump’s clumsy stupidity exposed something that has been happening forever.
I do think Obama had good intentions, but democrats have always been too nice, allowed too much.
How do we get past gerrymandering when the politicians in office, the one’s who could eliminate it, are only there because of gerrymandering?
Honestly, ignorance is bliss. The more I learn the more I find there is to grieve.
