CAPITULATION to “And State Your Name”

ca·pit·u·la·tion

/kəˌpiCHəˈlāSHən/

the action of surrendering or ceasing to resist an opponent or demand.

Examples of “capitulation” in a sentence:

  1. Last night, several Senate Democrats capitulated to extortion, giving in to (and state your name) Trump’s cutthroat tactics, including starving U.S. SNAP recipients, refusing to pay the military, and putting government employees who’ve been working for free on the road to bankruptcy.
  2. The Senate agreed to end the longest government shutdown in American history without extending ACA funds slated to expire. Giving in to a bully’s demands without guaranteed negotiations is capitulation.

(and state your name) Trump’s desire to end ACA speaks to his vindictive jealousy of Nobel Peace Prize winner, President Barack Obama.

Senator Durbin is “counting on Republican Senate leader John Thune to keep his word on this agreement.”

The deal by the GOP Senate to fix our health insurance problem will not happen. After 29 years, how is it that Senator Durbin doesn’t know that? I feel like Susan Collins because I am very disappointed in my congressman.

Durbin is eager to get federal employees back on payroll; do you know who never missed a paycheck? Congress and ICE. Now the pawns, will get paid for services rendered.

This bill bounces back to the ever-vacationing House of Representatives for its last passage, expected on Wednesday. They need to put away their inflatable rafts and return to D.C. for the vote. Anticipating seeing lawmakers doing what they’re paid for is overwhelming. I can’t wait.

(and state your name) Trump’s lies are as always, outrageous. His latest lies include:

  • FALSE CLAIM—President Barack Obama gets royalties for the Affordable Care Act. The jealousy (and state your name) feels President Obama, who rocks a tan suit, is part of the reason (and state your name) has been ruthless in his attempt to decimate the ACA that keeps insurance companies from discriminating against people with preexisting conditions.
The consistent rise in health insurance started long before President Obama signed his bill into law. It’s also important to note that while ACA isn’t perfect, it was not the proffered policy. Republicans hacked away at the original ACA bill before they agreed to vote for it. The GOP made cuts for the benefit of the health insurance industry.

(and state your name) is going to give us trillions of dollars!

This is propaganda. Divided up, it is equivalent to $7,000 per person, a one-time payout, a parting gift for health insurance. People will die.

Are you pro-life? On average, the health costs associated with pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care amount to $20,416.

It would cost $38 billion to extend ACA credits next year and prevent millions of people from losing their healthcare. Reminder: Trump sent $40 billion to Argentina for no reason.” ~Representative Zoe Lofgren

I hate to attack my party, but giving in to a bully is WEAK. Republicans get everything they want in exchange for a “promise” of healthcare. (In two weeks.) This is no compromise—it’s surrender. We the people, our voices, should have been heard on Election Day with voting results. It’s time to clean House, the Senate, and the Executive branch. They don’t care about us.

If the House passes the bill, House Speaker Mike Johnson will need a new excuse not to swear in the Democrat elected in September, Adelita Grijalva, the last vote needed to demand the release of the Epstein files.

(and state your name) wants to starve SNAP recipients.

Stay angry.

  1. The total lack of enthusiasm in Senator Durbin’s voice says he all. He knows this is crap. Thune can promise all he wants, but ACA is not happening.

So I guess the $2000 Trump is promising every American (except the well-off) will mean no more truffle potatoes and no more Great Gatsby parties. ☹️

    1. It sounds like a lot of money for those who have and know nothing, but it’s short sighted. The young, healthy, anti-vax crowd don’t realize how much it costs to be sick.
I’d love to know what percentage of voters Trump is still fooling.

      1. And now he wants to bring how may thousand Chinese students back to the US because colleges cannot grow without them? Even Laura Ingraham is confused.

      2. He’s on a roll. Ugh… All I want to say is I hate him, but I can’t because my son tells me hatred is toxic. It is, I agree. So I won’t say how much I flocking hate “and state your name.”
