The pedophile-in-chief believes he can buy your vote with a one-time payment of $90. I doubt anyone will see this money, but only traditional Medicare voters who pay the full $200 monthly premium are eligible for the payoff. The amount withdrawn originates from the Medicare Improvement Fund, totaling $1.8 billion. Empty promises of passing out pocket change to a portion of the people on Medicare does not constitute an improvement to the plan. Is this just one more attempt to ensure Republicans keep control of Congress so The Diaper-Don can avoid prison? Yes. Will the felon deposit the capital in an offshore account? Likely.
What can I buy for $90? Two tanks of gas for my 15-year-old subcompact car. That is called “living high on the hog,” Trump being the hog.
I’m not going to lie. I have lost faith in our political system. There are few politicians who don’t succumb to threats, bribery, and peer pressure after being elected. Be that as it may, there is an existential difference between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats work for the people (the good Democrats do), and Republicans (all of them) work for the wealthiest one percent. Democrats work to improve social programs. Republicans want to end them and use the money to lower taxes for billionaires and their corporations.
You may have heard the saying that “there are two kinds of voters who support the Republican Party: billionaires and fools. Check your bank account to see which one you are.”

Dog heaven has another angel; I said goodbye to Grendel. I found him on petfinder.com. He landed in a shelter after having been used and abused as a stud in a puppy mill for years. He had never seen the sky, never walked on grass, and never been treated with kindness. It took a year for him to trust me. We had nine years together. Losing a pet never gets easier. I still have my snack-size dog, also adopted; age unknown.
A kick while I was down: I contracted Covid at the animal ER. I just tested positive again, five days after my first test.
Sadly I feel I must resurrect the following joke. (You don’t have to be a dad to tell dad jokes.)
“Why don’t ants get Covid?
Because they have tiny antibodies.”
