What to write about…

  • Trump’s unhinged 30 minute rant on Thursday, during which he said—

“They also like to always talk about [the] Electoral College. Well, it’s an election based on the Electoral College. I would rather have a popular election, but it’s a totally different campaign,” ~ Donald J Trump, during an interview with “Fox & Friends.”

I also hate the electoral college, so Trump and I finally agree… 🤢 I feel sick.

* My argument on the subject—

https://alotfromlydia.wordpress.com/2017/07/08/somebody-explain-the-electoral-college-i-will/

Nevertheless, someone might explain to Trump how the popular vote works. It is (almost) required that the winner be popular. He lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million.

He is right though, without the electoral college, Putin would not have had to consider where to focus his efforts. That would have been easier, but he may not have been able to confuse so many people in the process.

I think this subject has been fully explored, so I’ll move on…

Should I write about…

  • Paul Ryan’s firing of Father Conroy, House Chaplain. (Ryan had already secured himself a place in Hell, but they’ll turn up the heat for this.)

Father Conroy was fired because he harbored the misconception that empathy was a quality the GOP majority House of Representatives might like to consider when contemplating their tax cut for the wealthy. The tax cut that will surely result in cuts to programs for those in need.

No one wants that guilt trip here, Father!

OR, maybe…

  • Everybody’s go to Fox Host, Sean Hannity.

He purchased two apartment complexes in Georgia, with mortgages totaling $17.9 million, that HUD insured through the National Housing Act program… a CLEAR ABUSE OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS.

Or, speaking of HUD—

  • Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Ben Carson’s war waged on the poor.

You remember Carson, he tried to purchase a $30,000 table for his office.

Well, now he’s asking Congress to raise rents paid by public housing residents. He also wants to eliminate income deductions that could lower their rent.

Stop crying, you snowflakes, somebody has to pay for the tax cut for the wealthy and for Carson’s office remodel.

No, I think this is my topic du jour—

  • Trump’s tweet on Friday.

The tweet lends itself to graphics, and this is 2018, few of us are interested in posts without pictures.

Big Trump was upset yesterday. (Yes, again.) His tweet was in response to the New York Times story in which Natalia Veselnitskaya admits she is indeed a Russian spy. Who?

Natalia is the Russian lawyer who met— Don Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort, in Trump Tower to “discuss adoption”… okay, not adoption, they discussed obtaining “dirt” on Hillary from Russian operatives (aka-treason)… but no one inhaled.

“I am a lawyer, and I am an informant, since 2013, I have been actively communicating with the office of the Russian prosecutor general.” ~Natalia Veselnitskaya

Natalia has been an informant for prosecutor general Yuri Chaika, a top Kremlin official.

“If it’s what you say, I love it!” ~Donald Trump Junior

Lawyer Who Was Said to Have Dirt on Clinton Had Closer Ties to Kremlin Than She Let On – The New York Times

Another disconcerting bit of information for Trump yesterday was the disclosure that, just prior to this Trump Tower meeting, Donald Jr placed 3 phone calls.

  • The 1st call to Emin Agalarov, a Russian pop singer who is identified as having arranged the meeting between Trump Jr and said Russian lawyer. Emil also happens to be the son of Russian oligarch Aras Agalarov.
  • The second call was made to a blocked number. Trump’s residence has a blocked number, and Nunes and his House Intel Committee refused to subpoena telephone records in order to disclose the source of the blocked number.
  • And the 3rd call to Emin Agalarov again. There is speculation that proof, of Trump’s presence at said meeting exists, in Mueller’s possession.

Meanwhile, as per the above tweet, and in what seems to be uncanny timing, the House Intelligence Committee (Devin M(memo) Nunes) published a report stating they found “No collusion”.

Donald, no one cares about the House Intel Committee report. They didn’t look for evidence. How ya gonna find evidence if ya don’t wanna find evidence? They concluded their “investigation” without the doing any investigating… and how much did tax payers spend on that?

Is anyone keeping tally of how many of Trump’s tweets include the phrase “witch hunt”? (If I had a nickel for every time… )

Anyway, don’t take my word for any of this. This is what a qualified person, (who may not assume the world understands his use of irony and sarcasm), thinks—
