We all need to unplug occasionally. As of late, I can barely process my own family’s drama, let alone that of the country in which I live, or the world beyond it.
My recent back surgery, as well as another (still unresolved) health issue, forced me to ignore all news, including political events. I regretted the timing of Trump approaching the zenith of his deception before his demise, while I could not post: “hahahahaha… told-y’a”

Still all about me:
I’ve always been quietly fatalistic. My love language is hypochondria.
For example: Last year I googled my symptoms and “I think I’m pregnant!” Voice of reason: “You haven’t seen a penis in forever, and you lost your uterus in an unfortunate mishap twenty years ago.” Ah yes…I was riding bareback, astride a great-white, swinging a lasso in one hand, waving my Stetson in the other, kicking the heals of my Justin’s into the manilla-killa’s gill slits, while shouting “YEEHAW!” Score: Lydia-O, Shark-1.
Let me tell you, for someone like me, having access to apps that allow you to review your health charts, (test results, doctor’s notes, etc.,) like “My Chart” and “Live Well” has left me convinced the end is near. (Thanks Google.) I spent the month before the surgery getting my affairs in order. I frantically attempted to complete house repairs to the best of my (credit card’s) ability. I also put my heavily mortgaged house and my meager retirement account in a ‘living trust,’ and prepared a ‘last will and testament,’ to disburse my worldly possessions (books, three dogs, and credit card debt.) I signed power of attorney that will let one lucky lady (my sister,) pull the plug when it has been determined that a reasonable recovery is unlikely.
My meaning: I completed my bucket list. I decided I’ve seen enough. I’m bored. I’m tired. And yes, I’m depressed. Prior to my surgery, I instructed ma sœur to have me cremated and throw my ashes at Colin Firth’s face, if she could accomplish that task without being arrested, (of course.🙄) “Summon the anesthesiologist!”

Six hours later, (three weeks ago,) I was surprised to find myself awake in a hospital room recovering from surgery. I recall ordering from an extensive menu and being denied all that I chose. *See my last post.
So what did I miss?
Unhinged is the best word to describe what I felt when I emerged from the utopian bliss that accompanied the ignorance foisted upon me by my body.
I missed the curious case of Ivana Trump’s death which occurred at 11 AM on July 14, and came with many benefits for “the Donald.”

- It has been said that Ivana Trump’s 30-year nondisclosure agreement had recently expired. (I cannot confirm the veracity of that.)
- On July 14, she was found at the bottom of a staircase in her home, dead.
- A medical examiner reported blunt impact injuries on her torso, but none to her extremities, neck, or head. He ruled her death an accident.
- Soon thereafter, her body was cremated. Without a body, the cause of death could not be disputed. (I’ve read that she was not cremated. Truth is elusive with this family.)
- A funeral service was held on July 20, followed by the burial of a casket on Trump’s Bedminster golf course in New Jersey.
- Trump’s spawn had been scheduled to be deposed for financial crimes, in New York, on July 21. That was postponed due to the death of their mother.
- On July 29, Trump hosted a golf tournament for top Saudi officials at Bedminster. (Dancing on her grave.)
- The FBI “no knock” search at Mar A Lago was executed on August 8.
- Trump’s deposition was held on August 10, during which he pleaded the 5th amendment 440 times.
- Trump used Ivana’s death as another opportunity to plea for donations. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

FUN FACTS:
- Using his golf course as a cemetery, even if burying only one body, awards Trump drastically reduced property taxes, bringing that bill down to $1,000, per annum.
- A buried casket would be an excellent place to hide top secret government documents before a Saudi buyer could be found.
- When cremated, ashes are placed in an urn that weighs approximately 10 lbs when full.
- Urns are not typically buried in a casket.
- Ivana was largely silicone based. (I haven’t figured out how that factors in.)
- A casket weighs between 150-250 lbs. Typically 6-8 pallbearers carry a casket. She had ten.
- Why was it so heavy? What is in the casket?
Hmm… My Nancy Drew mind wonders if there was a handoff of Top Secret Classified documents made to the Saudis at Bedminster on August 8th.

Consider this: Trump’s motivation to keep Top Secret Nuclear documents had be to sell them, otherwise he would have destroyed them. Convince me otherwise.
Also, everything related to Trump’s criminal activity, called *BREAKING NEWS, is something we knew about years ago. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

What else?

Allen Weisselberg, the former CFO of the Trump Organization, has finally flipped. He pleaded guilty on Thursday for his role in a 15-year-long tax fraud scheme. As part of the deal he has agreed to testify against Trump’s real estate company at trial. That plea deal includes 15 felonies. Read that last sentence again.
Donald, in a panic, frantically searched for his passports and had his Boeing 757 airplane pulled out of the hanger to be restored to airworthiness. 😏

Several members of congress are finally under investigation for their part in the attempted coup. U.S. Representatives who requested a pardon after January 6th:
- Jim Jordan
- Lauren Boebert
- Marjorie Taylor Greene
- Matt Gaetz
- Paul Gosar
- Mo Brooks
- Louie Gohmert
- Scott Perry

Not only did the Secret Service erase text messages from January 5 and 6, after they were requested by oversight officials investigating their response to the Capitol attack, now we’ve learned they knew Trump supporters were targeting Pelosi but failed to pass that information along until hours after riot began.

Ginny Thomas is still living her best life after coordinating said coup.

Clarence Thomas still sucks. Please keep in mind that prior to decimating women’s autonomy and healthcare, he voted to stop the 2000 Florida recount & gave the loser, (George W) the presidency. We have not recovered from the trajectory of horrors that judgment set in place. It was the worst SCOTUS decision to date, and he was just getting warmed up.

I am so happy Mr Rushdie is on the mend. Good news is so rare that we have to embrace it.
I think we’re caught up.

I thought this would be a good way to close today’s post.
The CFO would rather spend 5 months in jail than rat on the Donald. What in the freakin’ hell??!! Did he put the screws to the Secret Service, too? I mean, look at all those boxes (“They’re mine!”). No one questioned, ‘Man, that sure is a lot of stuff you’re taking with you’? I feel like we’re nearing a finish line. I just can’t see it. I can’t even find it.
I hope the surgery has eliminated your back pain, Lydia. So good to see you here, again. Oh, yes. Ashes in Colin Firth’s face. 😂 Good one!

The CFO has decided to testify against Trump. The house of cards is falling. While I’m afraid to hope, I think espionage might be where Garland draws the line. 🤓 My back is improving every day. Thanks for asking!

Against the Trump Organization, not against Trump himself. That’s where the 5 months jail time comes in. Reduced to 3 months for good behavior. Good behavior…let’s get even more nuts than things are now.

You’re right. I’m confused and I’ll blame my dog. 🤷🏻♀️I can’t keep up with New York. Weisselberg pleaded guilty to 15 felonies. Instead of 15 years he got 5 months but specifically – at Rikers Island (according to NPR,) and a $2m fine. It’s not enough, but Rikers is not the typical white collar criminal destination.
His testimony will help implicate the executive office of Trump Org including Trump and his kids. It would be great to see him lose his real estate holdings and everything else he hasn’t hidden in Ivana’s casket. It’s not enough. (Why did Bragg drop the criminal case against Trump, and wtf happened with Vance?)
Trump selling nuclear secrets has to be the end and his indictment can’t come soon enough. Garland can not excuse that. I don’t think he will.

It’s crazy, but I think you are all caught up now. Liz Cheney’s goal: Don’t let Trump get anywhere near the White House. Some might say she lost, but I say we all won.

I think she’s planning to run for President. I love what she’s doing in the 1/6 committee, but her policies are definitely Republican. Her voting record says it all. The clincher for me is that she is happy Roe was overturned.

Oh, no. Then she had better get hopping on the 1/6 committee. I did not realize how GOP she was. Thanks for the info.

I’d like to pull a blanket over the bully boy’s face, treat him like the corpse that he’s beginning to resemble, and talk about No Ordinary Joe for a spell. We never know what’s going to happen any second, but Biden is more alive now than ever. These are his best years of achievement and he’s pushing 80. I’ve noticed he does a little skip every so often when approaching the podium. Like he’s ready to dance but, when he reaches the podium, stutters for a moment instead, coughs, and talks talks talks, demonstrating his awesome staying power …

I have no doubt President Biden is the right person for the job, at the right time. The press has been search of a “tan suit scandal” since 1/2021. The only thing they can do is attack his age.
Biden has had to contend with three Senators (Manchin, Sinema, and McConnell,) who have done nothing but block his attempts to fulfill his campaign promises. Despite that, he’s accomplished more than I care to type on my phone, with my thumbs, not to mention the work involved in reversing 45’s damage and removing his appointees.
Biden has been in politics so long that of course everyone (myself included,) will find something in the span of his career that he said, or a vote, they disagree with. While he wasn’t my first choice in the primaries, I realize he was the best person we could have hoped for. He’s knocking it out of the park. I’ll vote for him again.
Future inmate 45 is using noise to distract the press from Biden’s achievements. I don’t think Trump will ever shut up, even if (when) he’s incarcerated.

Events can tip the scales every which way, but so far Old Joe’s leadership of NATO gots Putin a blinkin’ without us or NATO firing a shot, on top of the table anyway. I don’t know what’s going on under the table, but I can guess, boom boom. And Ukrainians are doing all the dirty work while their cities are getting demolished. There’s some controversy here. If it were up to chump Trump the slump, Ukraine would be part of Russia about now, Switzerland or Holland would be leading NATO, there would be no refugees and only a few Ukrainians, if any, left dead. That might actually be better than what’s going on now …
Time for breakfast!

Meantime, call me anything but late for breakfast. The eggs were very good. It looks like in the Biden/NATO remark I did a double-back-flip. While discussing the glories of war I became a hippie. Well, I do like to be mindful of Love Peace & Freedom. I think I’ll leave it right there for now and slip out the door.
Have a good day, Lydia.

I’d like to see olde Biden pass the relay stick to more youthful Kamala. That might however encourage some colorful fireworks, which however come with the territory. I like her speeches and she seems steady enough. But them fireworks might get pretty heady…

I’m not ready to commit to a candidate and… Joe may not be ready to make like a tree and leave, or make like a shepherd and get the flock out of here, or make like a baby and head out.
I vote blue. We have a huge pool of talent to consider.
