Cohen Cancels February 7th

Donald Trump’s “fixer,” former attorney Michael Cohen, has announced he is no longer willing to testify before Congress on February 7th.

“Due to ongoing threats against his family from President Trump and Mr. Giuliani, as recently as this weekend, as well as Mr. Cohen’s continued cooperation with ongoing investigations, by advice of counsel, Mr. Cohen’s appearance will be postponed to a later date.” Lanny Davis, lawyer’s lawyer.

I’m shaking my head, because if this is true, Robert Mueller has more paper work to file:

“Whoever knowingly uses intimidation, threatens … or attempts to do so … with intent to … influence, delay, or prevent the testimony of any person” is guilty of a felony. ~18 U.S.C. § 1512

Is it karmic intervention that a man who has personally threatened people on Trump’s behalf for a dozen years, Michael Cohen, would now be on the receiving end such threats? I think it’s more likely Trump’s lifelong crime spree has finally hit the wall of justice, (and Mexico isn’t paying).

Cohen is the most damaging witness against Trump, not because of his pattern of honesty, but because Lordy he has tapes. There wasn’t a meeting Cohen attended that his taping device didn’t like.

Guess who is in possession of all those tapes now? Go ahead, guess.

I have no idea, but my money is on Mueller.

My point is, Cohen is no longer required to testify. The tapes will suffice.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has over 3 dozen sealed indictments (I’ve heard the actual number is over 100), filed and waiting. What are they waiting for?

I don’t know that either, but this is a man who has taken down smarter mobsters than Don the Con Trump, so let him work.

The problem is that Cheeto Benito and Mitch McConnell are holding our government hostage. Mitch has turned down 10 formal requests to open the government.

Some business has been achieved during the shutdown.

With with every passing day our national security risk rises. Are they waiting for Putin to give the go ahead?
