If we come out of this Trump blip in history with a lesson learned it will be that everything is connected. Trump/Russia is a tree with many branches.
Chaos is the flower bud on the Trump/Russia tree, and Trump thrives on chaos, or he claims to. The White House has been in a constant state of it since he took office, and Trump is playing the “I meant to do that” game.
Russians grew Trump. At root, he owes them money but, that scary mob of axe wielding thugs has something else over him, and they use it to control him.
Since chaos is a flower on the Trump/Russia tree, the fruit must be fear. Putin punishes mistakes and disloyalty.
Case in point— Sergei Skripal, a former Soviet spy, who had been cooperating with investigators, is hospitalized in critical condition after being exposed to an unknown substance in the UK on Sunday afternoon, along with his daughter. He had been convicted in Russia of passing state secrets to Britain. This attempted murder, likely at the hands of Russia, was intended to set an example to spies and intel officials who cooperate with the US.
If we need confirmation, that Russia is rooted in our government, we have it with new information that The State Department was granted $120 million to fight Russian meddling.
Of that $120 million they have spent $0.
Trump Dossier author, Christopher Steele, reportedly told Robert Mueller that Mitt Romney was slated to be Secretary of State, but the Kremlin intervened. They blocked Romney because he’s not on Russia’s growth chart, but Rex (ExxonMobile) Tillerson is.
Tillerson has a vested interest in blocking sanctions against Russia. He and Putin, with his oil company Rosneft, have a $500 billion oil partnership, a branch that would wither with sanctions.
Tillerson is a recipient of an “Order of Friendship Award” from Putin, and has displayed his loyalty by doing nothing to counter Russia’s information warfare. Between that act of omission, and Trump’s refusal to enforce Russian sanctions, Putin has received a good return on his investment in the 2016 election.
Several news outlets are reporting a new Exxon claim that they have severed the $500 billion oil deal with Rosneft due to difficulties instilled by sanctions. This is an odd claim considering sanctions have not been implemented, and Trump has made clear he will not enforce them in future. Is this Russian propaganda at work?
Yesterday a branch of the tree showed pest damage with the on air melt down of ex-Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg who said he would refuse to comply with his Mueller subpoena:
“I’m not going to cooperate when they want me to come into a grand jury for them to insinuate that Roger Stone was colluding with Julian Assange. Roger is my mentor. Roger is like family.”
This display, hours of increasingly desperate news show hopping, is thought to have been constructed by Roger Stone, every crazy-mans mentor (and banned from twitter for life). Stone’s intent is to poison Grand Jury proceedings. Nunberg now says he will cooperate with Mueller.
There is a tree House in that Trump/Russia tree… It’s filled with Trump’s loyal GOP.
Their fealty is the result of a lifelong Trump trick, also practiced in Russia— Make sure those around you have as much to lose as you do. This is why the GOP will continue to block Trump’s impeachment.
Every week a varying handful of GOP lawmakers, but always thorn Devin Nunes, demand an end to the Mueller probe. These attempts demonstrate there is more at stake than the obstruction charges, these GOP members risk by obstructing justice.
This Trump/Russia Tree is diseased, and needs to come down.
