“We’re Doing a Really Good Job!” ~ So Says Donald Trump

“This is an island. Surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water.” ~Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States  (Are you proud?)

Yes, he really said water is big, and Donald Trump blames the victim for damages inflicted by Hurricane Maria. It’s not his fault Puerto Rico is an island.

It was a one two punch: September 7, Category 5 Hurricane Irma clipped Puerto Rico, and before they could recover, category 4 Hurricane Maria was a direct hit, making landfall on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Donald Trump was at his NJ golf resort. That Friday he headed to Alabama for a political rally where he verbally attacked a handful of black NFL players who choose to kneel during the National Anthem. That was his focus for the next several days, and as a result, now most everyone kneels during the National Anthem.

Meanwhile people in Puerto Rico are dying.

He did send out a message:

“I’d like to send America’s hearts and prayers to the people of Puerto Rico” ~Donald Trump, Villiage Idiot, 45th President of the United States, who now knows Puerto Rican’s are U.S. Citizens.

These issues in Puerto Rico remain unresolved:

  • More than half the population is lack clean drinking water
  • The island is without grid power
  • A major dam is in danger of bursting
  • A broken radar system has left thousands waiting for flights out
  • They are in desperate need of medical supplies, food, cash…
  • There are no cell phone signals
  • No gasoline or diesel
  • Hospitals are running on backup generators with intermittent blackouts.
  • Diabetes patients can’t refrigerate their insulin and kidney dialysis patients are foregoing treatment— both death sentences.

“We’re doing a really good job!” ~says Trump

“Texas & Florida are doing great, but Puerto Rico, which was already suffering from broken infrastructure & massive debt, is in deep trouble. It’s old electrical grid, which was in terrible shape, was devastated. Much of the Island was destroyed, with billions of dollars owed to Wall Street and the banks which, sadly, must be dealt with. Food, water and medical are top priorities – and doing well. #FEMA.” Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States

Is Trump is saying Puerto Rican people do not deserve help because their economy struggles?

**FUN FACT TIME**
Donald Trump’s 2015 bankruptcy filing— for his failed Trump Condo Golf Development Puerto Rico —cost local Puerto Rican taxpayers $33 million. Perhaps they should be reimbursed now—by him.‬ Ah corporate bankruptcy, his beloved go to business strategy.

“I’m asking anyone who can hear us to save us all.” ~Carmen Yul n Cruz, Mayor, San Juan, PR

HE says “such poor leadership”— that is rich. In the midst of all this Trump wants accolades from people treading contaminated flood water.

“I will do what I never thought I was going to do. I am begging, begging anyone who can hear us to save us from dying. If anybody out there is listening to us, we are dying, and you are killing us with the inefficiency,” ~Carmen Yul n Cruz, Mayor, San Juan, PR

Oh yay! Time for a face saving photo op, this one in Puerto Rico. MAGA hats, baby kissing, a box picked up, carried three feet, and set down…and it’s a wrap.

“We’re doing a really good job!” ~ ~Donald Trump, 45th President of the United States (Are you proud?)

“ We’re doing a really good job’”

If you keep saying it…just keep saying it.
