Today, the Federalist Society created the Supreme Court of the United States will vote against student loan relief, which would erase $400 billion of debt carried by American adults of all ages, including the elderly. Social Security garnishes student loan debt from seniors benefits.
The arguments of the GOP who are against student loan forgiveness include- “this is socialism,” “this will increase the deficit and hurt our economy,” “people who receive government handouts become lazy and irresponsible.” The $2 trillion added to our deficit when Trump gifted tax exemption to billionaires and their corporations is never mentioned when programs that would help the middle class are considered. The difference between student loan relief and tax exemption for the rich is one group hoards their money, while those trapped in predatory student loans, would put the money back into the economy. Understand this, many people have paid back more than they borrowed without seeing a change in the balance owed.
$800 billion in PPP “loans” were forgiven. (*Payroll Protection Program) The program was meant to save jobs during the peak of the pandemic. It was a scam. Pre-forgiven “loans” were passed out like party favors to Trump’s family, staff, and loyal members of Congress. That loan forgiveness has not gone to the SCOTUS for a vote. We have socialism for the rich.
Among the members of our SCOTUS, deciding the fate of the middle class, 1/3 was seated by a twice-impeached, one-term, con-man. Neil Gorsuch took the seat Merrick Garland should have gotten.
Brett “I like beer” Kavanaugh, who was credibly accused of sexual assault and not vetted- 4500 tips to FBI, swept under Trump’s wig – was seated after SCOTUS Kennedy was strongly “encouraged” to retire. His son had been Trump’s Deutsche Bank lending officer. We have yet to discover who paid Kavanaugh’s $200,000 credit card debt. Who paid his $92,000 in country club fees? What did he offer his benefactor in return?
Amy Coney Barrett was seated before Ginsberg’s body was cold, to beat the clock. Clarence Thomas is married to an election denying woman who helped plan 1/6. Anita Hill credibly accused him of sexual harassment during his judiciary hearings.
The lifetime appointed SCOTUS is above the law. They cleared Kavanaugh of 83 complaints the minute he was sworn in.
This unethical far-right group has decimated women’s rights, a longtime goal of the Federalist Society. Today, they will ensure the wealth gap doesn’t budge by voting down Biden’s modest student loan bill. We need to reform our system of government.
This is not democracy.

If you were on the Supreme Court, we all rest assured, democracy would prevail, not just nationally, but throughout our home in space, The Milky Way. Perhaps, your reminder prevailing, it already does…
