What? Those can’t be the same libertarian Koch brothers who said:
NO to the Elderly
“We favor the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system. Pending that repeal, participation in Social Security should be made voluntary.”
“We favor the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs.”
NO to the Poor
“We oppose all government welfare, relief projects, and ‘aid to the poor’ programs. All these government programs are privacy-invading, paternalistic, demeaning, and inefficient. The proper source of help for such persons is the voluntary efforts of private groups and individuals.”
NO to Minimum Wage Requirements
“We support repeal of all law which impede the ability of any person to find employment, such as minimum wage laws.”
NO to Safe Work Environments, NO to Unions
“We call for the repeal of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.”
NO to Safe Food and Drugs
“We advocate the abolition of the Food and Drug Administration.”
NO to Healthcare, Particularly Women’s Reproductive Care
“We oppose any compulsory insurance or tax-supported plan to provide health services, including those which finance abortion services.”
“We also favor the deregulation of the medical insurance industry.”
NO to Children
“We support an end to all subsidies for child-bearing built into our present laws, including all welfare plans and the provision of tax-supported services for children.”
NO to the Planet Earth
Global Warming is Anti-Koch profits, so it can’t be real!
“We support the abolition of the Environmental Protection Agency.”
“We support the abolition of the Department of Energy.”
NO Taxes for the Filthy Rich
Are these the same Koch brothers who dictated the GOP tax scam to then-Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, giving a tax-free ride to corporations and billionaires? Yes, and the day after the scam passed, Paul Ryan received a check from Koch for $500,000.
In return, the Koch brothers received a $1.4 billion tax cut.
“We support the eventual repeal of all taxation.”
Or Their Corporations
“We oppose all personal and corporate income taxation, including capital gains taxes.”
Make Tax Evasion Legal Again!
“As an interim measure, all criminal and civil sanctions against tax evasion should be terminated immediately.”
Abolish the Postal Service
“We propose the abolition of the governmental Postal Service. The present system, in addition to being inefficient, encourages governmental surveillance of private correspondence. Pending abolition, we call for an end to the monopoly system and for allowing free competition in all aspects of postal service.”
Safety is Un-American!
“We specifically oppose laws requiring an individual to buy or use so-called “self-protection” equipment such as safety belts, air bags, or crash helmets.”
“We call for the abolition of the Consumer Product Safety Commission.”
“We support the repeal of all state usury laws.”
Privatize Anything Koch can Buy!
Those recent attempts to deregulate Air Traffic Control— that was Koch too:
“We advocate the abolition of the Federal Aviation Administration.”
“We call for the dissolution of all government agencies concerned with transportation, including the Department of Transportation.”
Playing Monopoly is fun, and They Want all the Railroads:
“We demand the return of America’s railroad system to private ownership. We call for the privatization of the public roads and national highway system.”
“We call for the privatization of the inland waterways, and of the distribution system that brings water to industry, agriculture, and households.”
Educate Only the Entitled
Where does Betsy Devos get her orders? Koch
“We condemn compulsory education laws … and we call for the immediate repeal of such laws.”
“We support the repeal of all taxes on the income or property of private schools, whether profit or non-profit.”
“We advocate the complete separation of education and State. Government schools lead to the indoctrination of children and interfere with the free choice of individuals. Government ownership, operation, regulation, and subsidy of schools and colleges should be ended.”
Let Banks Practice Deceptive Lending
“We urge the repeal of federal campaign finance laws, and the immediate abolition of the despotic Federal Election Commission.”
Are those the same Koch brothers that now seek Democratic politicians to endorse?
Yes, two and the same.
”Koch expands political engagement.” ~CNBC
Have the Koch brothers turned over a new leaf in their twilight years?
No, that’s not what this is.
The Koch network sees the writing on the wall; the end of the GOP is fast approaching. This is their plan to stay in the game; they’re trolling for corrupt Democratic politicians to take up their cause.
They’ve checked off most of their agenda with Trump, via McConnell and Ryan, but they don’t want Democratic politicians to reverse their progress.
Who are these bros?
I’ll give you a synopsis, with reference links below.
Patriarch Fred C Koch, was born in 1900. He was a chemical engineer and businessman who developed an improved method to turn oil into petrol. With a lawsuit pending, for violating patent laws, he packed up his toys and left. Seeking redder pastures, he settled in a Stalin-era Russia to set up shop. He eventually built installations throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and then partnered with ’Winkler’ to build the Hamburg oil refinery for the Third Reich, approved by Hitler. Yes, he built oil refineries for the Nazis.
Koch Sr. died in 1967, leaving behind four ruthless progeny— but they looked so nice.
The spawn: Frederick, Charles, and twins Bill and David, what they lacked in ethics they made up for in cash and resources.
Eventually, Charles and David ate Bill and Fred, and now there are two.
The Koch brothers claim to be philanthropists, and I hold the world record for deadlifting young farm-raised bovine.
The only solution for what ails our government: take the $$ out of politics.
