When at a Loss—A Limerick

I’ve surveyed a few people at work

For writing ideas. I would ask with a smirk:

“What are you thinking?”

Without even blinking,

They all think that the boss is a jerk

It’s human nature, I have surmised,

And I doubt this will be a surprise,

No one wants to be told

What to do-it gets old.

More details I fear would be unwise.

The Daily Post, July 5, 2015, Daily Prompt: S/he Said~ Pause whatever you’re doing, and ask the person nearest you what they’re thinking about (call someone if you have to). Write a post based on it.S/he SaidS/he Said
