Pete Hegseth — [checks notes, asks Siri, double-checks Wikipedia] — is our Secretary of Defense. In this week’s episode of “My Butt Did What?” we learned that there was a second Signal group chat group, in addition to the one that accidentally included a reporter from The Atlantic. This group communicated on the same night, and they discussed the same top-secret information, including flight schedules for the F/A-18 Hornets targeting the Houthis in Yemen.

A scapegoat took the blame for initiating the first group chat we learned about, but the Atlantic reporter who came forward had proof it was Hegseth who added him to the group.
Pete initiated this chat on Signal, and this second group included his wife, brother, and about a dozen other people from his personal and professional inner circle. None have security clearance.

Yesterday, a defiant Hegseth stood with his family on the White House lawn for the annual Easter egg hunt. He spoke to reporters blaming “disgruntled former employees” as the source. Then he said they were “anonymous sources.”
It has been brought to my attention that former employees are not anonymous sources. Their names are public. Pete was talking fast and on a roll. He did not deny the Signal chat, but he tried to say the media was the problem, targeting him, “just like the Russia hoax.”
An unnamed authority has informed me that Hegseth texted a third group yesterday, on an unsecured Signal group chat. This time he shared a map of the White House lawn and egg locations including latitude and longitude co-ordinates.

Fake News, Lydia. All fake news. At least that is what Big Orange says. You know, let’s just add the wife and kids to the chat. What the hell. We don’t care. 😧
Can you imagine how crazy it would have been if this happened under Biden? I cannot even…
