This Week’s Recap

The week started on April Fools’ Day. The following is the modern-day equivalent of a “kick me” sign.

I fell down a rabbit hole this week. I can’t process what I saw and read. Sean Combs is a monster. So let’s move on.

Florida: Judge Aileen Cannon began by ruling on Trump’s Presidential immunity claim, the motion to dismiss the trial based on the Presidential Records Act – DENIED.

Relief was short-lived because she followed up, stating would retain jury instructions until after both parties have argued their cases. That would give her the power to instruct the jury in a biased manner after it’s too late to object.

Jack Smith is done playing games. He told Cannon to move to resolve Trump’s frivolous arguments well ahead of trial, or he will bring a “writ of mandamus” to the 11th Circuit, along with a motion to recuse her from the case.

Huh?

Oh. Perfect.

Remember this is about national security, the dozens of boxes of highly sensitive national security secrets Trump stole and refused to return. Many are still missing.

JACK, DO IT NOW!

Meanwhile in…

Georgia: Motion to dismiss based on first amendment protections – DENIED

New York: Trump’s $180 million bond, filed to appeal the $453 million civil financial fraud ruling … was REJECTED.

The Court said there was incomplete paperwork. Did Trump knowingly post bond that would not be accepted as another delay tactic? Probably.

Can Tish sell his buildings now? Sell the golden toilet!!!

  • This week we witnessed lightning strike the torch of Lady Liberty!
  • A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit New York, waking up my daughter.
  • New York’s Governor, Kathy Hochul, said the epicenter was “west of Manhattan.” The only thing “west of Manhattan” is New Jersey. New Yorkers do not acknowledge that state, and from this day forth, the title quoted above shall refer to it.
“We will rebuild.”

The Solar eclipse on Monday! What does it all mean?

Is this good news? “No Labels” dissolved. The group ended their strategy to obstruct our democracy. Perhaps they realized RFK Jr and Jill Stein are doing the third-party spoiler act just fine without their help. Or perhaps it is because the founder, Joe Lieberman, just died.

Nor is he an Independent.

This clip includes video of a younger RFK Jr. saying third party candidates are spoilers. He is trying to sabotage democracy.

What does it say about RFK Jr. that his family will vote Biden?

Democratic Representatives have introduced a bill to rename the federal prison in Miami ‘Donald J. Trump Federal Correctional Institution.’ Do it!

Why not just… shut up?

Dwayne Johnson, “The Rock” gave an interview on Fox. He stated he regrets having endorsed Biden in 2020. He’s not happy with where we are as a nation. Likewise, he will stay out of politics forthwith, and will not back a candidate for the next election. Then he calls himself a patriot.

*Right-wing extremists have hijacked that word. It no longer stands for loyalty to the constitution.

  • Autocracy — no problem,
  • He’s okay with a candidate charged with 91 felonies who is doing everything possible to stall judgement until after the election when he can end the inquisition.
  • Dwayne is financially secure. As such he has no need for Social Security or Medicare. It’s not his problem if you need yours.
  • It is unlikely that Dwayne will be raped and impregnated, or require reproductive care.
  • The Rock wishes to “bring the country together.” (Trump divided us, Dwayne.)

My takeaway, the world, according to Dwayne:

I’m pretty buff, but I’m not Dwayne. If I was, and I wanted to stay out of politics and not endorse a candidate for 2024, I wouldn’t go on Fox to announce it. I would avoid endorsing a candidate by… not 👏🏻 endorsing 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 candidate.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Math nerds, hello?

  1. hah! Of course, I did the math! Disclaimer: I passed math by the skin of my teeth. ‘Isn’t that something?’ Hell, yes.

Being a Jersey girl, the only thing New Yorkers ever say about Jersey is, “Oh, you’re from Joisey?” I expected nothing less from their governor.
