Another GOP Hypocrite Bows Out

If Washington were a house, a mere re-decorating project would not suffice, nor would a more extensive re-model. This is a tear down project. The entire GOP needs to take a final bow in all three rings, get in the tiny clown car they rode in on and exit the tent.  

The 2016 election had the same result as spraying artificial orange room “deodorizer” on something foul. The orange turns out to smell as bad, if not worse than, the original stench.

In what has become typical GOP hypocrisy, 64 year old family values paragon, right wing conservative, outspoken with his 100% anti-abortion voting record, Republican Representative Tim Murphy from Pennsylvania, then husband to Nanette Murphy, asked the woman, he had been having an extramarital affair with to abort their child. Rep Murphy has not tried to deny the allegations, but there is too much evidence for him to do so.

The following is a January, 2017 text between Congressman Murphy and the other woman, 32 year old Dr Shannon Edwards, a forensic psychologist in Pittsburgh : 

“And you have zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child just last week when we thought that was one of the options,”

In his responding text he seems to deny his long time pro life stance:

“I get what you say about my March for life messages. I’ve never written them. Staff does them. I read them and winced. I told staff don’t write any more. I will.

The affair between the two became public during Ms. Edwards divorce proceedings. Yes, she was also married when the affair began. Her marriage ended, Murphy’s marriage ended, and his career will end with this term. The pregnancy turned out to be a “pregnancy scare,” so there is no mixed party baby to be concerned with.  

Murphy is not the first GOP pro-life hypocrite, and he won’t be the last. The GOP is sincere in only one goal— money and re-election. If you want their support line their pockets and they’ll vote for what ever you tell them to, just ask the NRA, Evangelicals, Big Pharma, Russia.

Murphy really should pack up his pencils and profolactics and leave now, but this is Washington where nothing is as it should be. 
It does seem the GOP is imploding with daily announcements of resignations and firings. A tear down before rebuilding may not be necessary.

As far as the newest fetid orange ring master—be patient, Mueller is working on it.
