It has been reported that last week when four senior US intelligence chiefs (Director of National Intelligence Clapper, FBI Director Comey, CIA Director Brennan, and NSA Director Admiral Rogers) briefed Donald Trump on Russian interference in the presidential election, they presented him with a briefing packet which included a 2 page addendum.
The addendum references as of yet unsubstantiated reports claiming Russian operatives not only targeted Clinton, but also targeted Trump, and they successfully accumulated information compromising him both financially and personally. Also, Russia only released information on Clinton as part of their effort to control the outcome of the election. They are said to be holding onto the information on Trump possibly to use as a means to control him once he becomes president. In addition, the two page report contains “allegations that there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government, according to two national security officials” going back several years-
This would imply collusion between Trump and the Russians, a treasonous act…if it is proven true. It is at this point unsubstantiated, but it is a work in progress.
Of course the report angered Herr Trump, who tweeted:
“FAKE NEWS – A TOTAL POLITICAL WITCH HUNT!”
A Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rushed to defend Trump: “Russia had no compromising material on President-elect Donald Trump and that the document was a hoax intended to further damage U.S.-Russian relations. The document was an “absolute fabrication.”
Russia and Trump both dispute American intelligence findings. “Very unfair!”
Life isn’t fair little Donald—but I don’t think yours is a good example of that fact. A better example of what isn’t fair might be that someone who loses the popular vote by almost three million votes is proclaimed the winner. Another example of “unfair” might be that someone with the lowest apporoval rating of an incoming president ever— 37% will be inaugurated eight days from now.
