If we stood on the shoulders of giants
What an enlightened world ours would be
Built on a breadth of existing foundations
Views unobstructed—clarity
This concept of the ages
Based on knowledge proven and vast
Threatened only by one politician
Determined to send us into the past
Wipe out decades of hard won progress
Such as equal rights for men, women— all
History locked in closed books and revised
Giants vanish…we’re certain to fall.
