Carpe Diem

With Alice I commiserate

Which way should I proceed

A voice inside vociferates

‘A change is what you need.’

Why is that voice unwilling

To give me a little clue

An idea worh instilling

Is- the point is just to do

There are no guarantees  

All this time spent in my head

Must end… it ages me 

And I can’t change once I’m dead
