Carpe diem and a crepe
How did it get away
Sad lost opportunity
One fine late summers day
A delicate confection
Made on a Paris street
Had I tried it I could tell you
That it was light and sweet
Nutella with banana
Why did I not partake
Sugar lemon—oh the tragedy
Of choices that I make
Lamentably not hungry
Memory forever this will haunt
I’d stopped first at a bakery
For a cinnamon croissant

So much tragedy to face so early in the day. “Regrets, I’ve had a few. . . .”

Sad I know. I must know, were you quoting Queen, or Sinatra?
