Let them say what they will. Just know that this shutdown is on the watch of a Republican majority. Trump doesn’t care if it hurts you. He demands Democrats sign his bill, targeting the Affordable Care Act. He wants to deliver the final blow to our healthcare system.
It isn’t about a balanced budget, because Trump will add trillions to the deficit to save the rich from the taxman. This is about Trump’s sadistic pleasure derived from hurting people. Those who control the media will spread the false narrative that the Democrats are to blame.
I appreciate Jimmy Kimmel for reminding me I can still call Donald Trump a misogynist, a rapist, a racist, a cheat, a felon, a five-time draft dodger, a con artist guilty of stealing from a charity for children with cancer, and a bully who filed bankruptcy six times, because it’s all true. This ‘great nation’ still allowed him to take power.
Why are we doing this again?
Trump was impeached twice, and if not for the corruption in Mitch McConnell’s Republican majority senate, the first impeachment would have been the only one. It would have resulted in an indictment and Trump’s immediate removal from office. He’d have been banned from government.
The world’s richest and least self-aware man, Elon Musk, has stated more than once that without him, Trump would have lost the election and we would have a democratic majority in Congress. The White House needs that Republican control to take apart our democracy. What did Musk do?
When Trump himself publicly confesses to unethical practices and criminal behavior, but no one blinks.

The shutdown is because of the Epstein files. MAGA Mikey gave the game away when he sent the house home and refused to swear in the new member of congress. Here’s what I see: full on la-la land dementia. Dementia Donny has totally lost his grip on reality: Med Beds, Attacking Portland because he thinks it is five years ago, the weird FBI on the 6th rant, the aceta…how do you say that? presser. In his dementia he has fixated on the Epstein files. This is a distraction and a delaying tactic. He doesn’t care how much it hurts people (never has, but previously was able to be more wily about it). The media is sane washing this bat guano. Wonder how many of them are in the PDF files?

My thoughts exactly. aceta-Tylenol The media is owned by compromised individuals and what we are told is as good as propaganda. This waiting game- always for the next election- is exhausting and dangerous. I think it’s more than Trump not caring about hurting people. He enjoys selecting who will die- playing God under the guise of immigration and healthcare.

He does enjoy that, but, honestly, I think he spends most of his time checked out, dozing in front of the TV. They (Miller and Vought) trot him out and give him shiny ballrooms and revenge lawsuits to play with. They are trotting him out everyday because they messed up with that week where he went silent. When there is a break people notice how far downhill he has gone. If he’s out every day the day to day decline is less noticeable.

I’m guessing Pete figured his fire and fury would not have come through in a Zoom call. And Trump would not have been able to go on and on about gold paper and gold pens…What an absolute joke this entire meeting was. A joke and a waste of time. And you know those men wanted to up and leave and tell Hegseth to FAFO himself.
Just when you think things cannot get any worse. Surprise! They do.
