Democrats, We Need Unity — Now!

No, I haven’t moved on to another topic because for ten days the cackle of hyenas that is the media have unrelentingly sunk their teeth into Joe President Biden. They attack his age, question his fitness and mental acuity, rinse, repeat. Meanwhile, he has been on a redemption tour since the debate, 18 interviews and campaign stops. He is also doing his job, running the country, quite well. Yes, Biden struggled through a 90-minute war of words against a practiced liar.

As for Trump, short-term memory is a media affliction. Their silence is deafening. The recent release of Epstein’s court documents that include graphic details of Trump raping two girls ages 12 and 13… where is that in the news? Why not beat to death the fact that the felon unanimously convicted on 34 counts, who is also an adjudicated rapist, still has pending trials in three juries over stealing and likely selling top secret government documents pertaining to national security, election interference, and the failed coup attempt on 1/6?

Crickets.

“Boy, Joe Biden has turned around the economy, and he is fighting for the working class, but did you hear him stutter? No, you missed it? Let’s rewind.”

Trump has been enjoying this, golfing and attending rallies performing his stream of conscious tales of exploding batteries and sharks. He knows enough not to take questions.

The dichotomy between Republican vs. Democratic Party presidential candidates, and their treatment by the press, is unfathomable. Joe Biden is 81. He works with a team dedicated to democracy and helping the middle-class and marginalized people. That’s us ladies!

The other candidate, Donald Trump, is 78. Let’s do math. It is a three-year age difference. His cognitive decline is obvious. He lords over his staff of sycophants. He has told us his agenda is dictator on day one, revenge against political opponents and the media, he will continue to strip women of rights, including the 19th amendment that gave us the right to vote, birth control, abortion, divorce. Trump’s team will take the tools that have empowered us.

I can’t help but feel this is a set-up, a trap that is snaring people who should know better. This tactic is not new. But I’m shocked at who has jumped ship. Vocal liberal, actor/filmmaker, Rob Reiner, age 77, (only four years younger get than Biden) the “Meathead” with millions of twitter followers, said to Joe:

“Time To Stop Fucking Around,”

He wants him to step down and is suddenly threatening to withhold donations. Was he hacked?

76-year-old author, Stephen King, (only five years younger than Biden) who has 7 million Twitter followers, today jumped ship. “Step down.” Stick to the dad jokes, Stephen.

Most disappointing to me is that over the weekend, congressional representative Adam Schiff in a televised interview said, President Biden should ask himself if he thinks he should run. Blah, blah, blah, blah and blah. If his answer is yes, then full steam ahead.

Listen, Adam, HE TOLD US HE’S NOT QUITTING. We, the people, elected Joe Biden in the primary. Do not disenfranchise us. If Biden is forced out at this late stage, 119 days before the election would hand Trump his dictatorship.

Let’s get rid of Al Franken AGAIN while we are at it. That was useful. [sarcasm] This is not helpful. None of these comments are doing democracy any favors. The election is in four months. Trying to replace Biden at this stage would be a gift to Trump. Early voting starts in September.

I can’t believe Joe Walsh and I are on the same page.

President Joe Biden may be 81, but Rupert Murdoch is 93 and he is still working every day to destroy freedom globally. One of his helpers is Charles Koch, is 88. Tell them to step down. Use your energy for good.

Thankfully, we have people who compensate for the panicked group.

Mark Cuban is matching all ACT Blue donations to Biden by 900%. Robert De Niro has planned a 600% match.

This is not a drill.

Everything we take for granted is at stake and if we aren’t careful, we’ll wake up in 2025 and wonder what happened.

Why can we women can no longer vote? Despite having no problem imposing your (you know who you are) religious beliefs on everyone, ignoring that abortion is often life or death healthcare, even if it isn’t, mind your uterus and take a seat… but now you find birth control is illegal. And this: half of all marriages end in divorce, but Trump’s 2025 agenda makes it impossible to disconnect your cheating or abusive spouse unless you can prove what took place. Witnesses and law enforcement reports, private investigators… whom can afford the latter? When you call the police, you had better hope you get someone sympathetic who will report what happened and not dismiss you because he said you fell and broke your own jaw.

Trump claims to have no knowledge of Project 2025z

Tell me something. If you believe Biden should step down, but he doesn’t because he doesn’t have to, how will it affect your vote?

Will you switch to Trump or a 3rd party, or refuse to vote? My answer is: I will select the Democrat in every category, regardless of whose name is on the ticket. Biden is who we chose in the primary.

I’d like you to respond to that question in the comments.

  1. People seem to forget that Biden won the primaries handily, opposed, with huge (or should I say “beyond bigly”) margins. This is a mainstream and reactionary (I’m looking at you Sinclair, as well as Fox) media campaign to try and create a contested Democratic convention. I’m sick and tired of this malarkey. Especially from the left wing nutter-butters who should know better, because they are why we are where we are. They couldn’t just vote for Hilary Clinton because she was the best choice not the perfect one. Yes, I am bitter about that. The current SCOTUS is in fact their choice and their fault. Every time I hear one of them whinge about the Dobbs decision, or the 50 yard line prayer, or the fact that we are rehashing about the Bible in the schools my blood boils.

    1. My grudge goes farther back to Al Gore. Yes, Hillary was so damn qualified and won the popular vote by 3 million. If we get through this ending, the electoral college has got to be at the top of the list.

      1. If we had gotten Gore there would be no Alito…ah what a dream! That man (Alito, not Gore) is a real piece of….work.
