Hey Florida, you know that Congressman who is under FBI investigation for having sex with a 17-year-old girl, and for allegedly transporting her across state lines for sex, also known as sex-trafficking a minor? Well, some members of Congress have come forward, to report that Matt Gaetz showed them videos and photos of nude women, and described having sex with them. He did this on taxpayers’ time, at work when he should have, I don’t know, been working for his constituents. I have a few questions about this. Which members of Congress saw these photos and videos, and did they report it when it happened? Did he have the women’s permission to share their images? How many of these conquests captured in those shared photos and videos were under the age of consent? I have a feeling we’re going to find out soon.
Who is Matt Gaetz? Hailing from Hollywood, Florida, Matthew Louis Gaetz II was born May 7, 1982, 39 years ago, to longtime Florida Republican lawmaker Don Gaetz who served as a Republican in the Florida state Senate from 2006 to 2016 and served as the President of the Florida Senate from 2012 to 2014. His mother, Vicky Gaetz, is confined to a wheelchair. His sister, Erin Gaetz, is a Republican operative who worked on former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s 2016 presidential campaign. His grandfather was a mayor and served as a state senator in North Dakota.
Matt Gaetz is a politician serving as the U.S. representative for Florida’s 1st congressional district since 2017. He is also a lawyer. This much we know is true. What has been said is that his well-connected dad has covered up many a mess for his son. Although common lore is that Gaetz has at least seven DUI arrests, only one is on record. The charges for that one were dropped despite his refusal to submit to a breathalyzer test. Daddy fixed it. Gaetz has 17 documented speeding tickets. There also is an unsubstantiated claim that daddy fixed a problem Gaetz had with a college roommate who died during auto-erotic asphyxiation. Purportedly dad pulled some strings to have the death ruled a suicide. Again, no proof determining the veracity of the story exists.
Gaetz is a diehard Trump loyalist. He was among the most vocal members of Congress pushing the lie that there was widespread election fraud in 2020.
in February of 2019, after tweeting threats to that former guy’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, Gaetz made more than one appearance at his trial for tax evasion and campaign finance violations. Gaetz walked a fine line that under a normal administration would have been called witness tampering.
Let’s review: Matt Gaetz is a sexual deviant who may have committed murder, a drunk, a thug, a fascist, an insurrectionist, allegedly a statutory rapist, and an alleged sex trafficker. He’s made enough of a spectacle of himself often enough in that short period that he has become a household name.
Gaetz’s hasn’t shut up since the New York Times story of an investigation broke. Any lawyer worth his salt would advise him to shut up. You would think that as an attorney he would know better, but Matt Gaetz is first and foremost an idiot, and a prosecutor’s dream come true.

What is the age of consent in Florida? The state’s statutory rape law says that if a person age 24 or older engages in sexual activity with a person who is 16 or 17, he or she has committed a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Taking that underage person across state lines to engage in sexual activity, (second-degree statutory rape,) is considered sex trafficking of a minor and adds 15-years to that prison sentence.

Showing his desperation, Gaetz has hit Twitter and Fox News to spin a tale in which he is the victim in an elaborate extortion plot that involves Iran and an FBI hostage who has been missing since 2007, last seen in 2010, and is presumed dead by the U.S. government.
Gaetz is on the House Judiciary Committee. What’s it going to take for him to be removed?
Is being compromised by bad behavior like this the reason republicans have stayed loyal to that former guy. How many more are like Gaetz?

Last month Gaetz was deeply concerned that the FBI had obtained congressional phone data. His odd complaint was thought to be due to his involvement in the Capitol Riot, and it may be, but now we know there was more to it.

Drugs involved (ecstasy). There are receipts from Apple Pay & Cash App. He’s also tied to another Florida sex trafficker who was already convicted a year ago (the 17 year old may have been involved with both of them). Girls already saying they were paid for sex. An online prostitution site. Another unknown Florida politician involved, etc, etc. Gaetz is trash! No wonder him & Trump got along so well.
