The Orange menace is still saying ”total exoneration.”
Wrong
Wrong
There were 140 contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia, and ten clearly laid out instances of obstruction of justice.
Did you watch the Mueller testimony today? I did, and I have to admit, I took pages and pages of notes and now I see I have nothing meaningful to say.
If you’ve been paying attention to this saga, you know, there were no blinding epiphanies, no flashes of insight; it was a review of what we knew.
Maybe those who made up their minds about the results of the Mueller report, based on AG Barr’s false brief, learned something.
The GOP tried to focus on why the investigation was opened. Trying to blame Hillary and the Steele Dossier, even though we all know it was the drunk coffee boy, George Papadopoulos who told an Australian diplomat what they were up to.
The afternoon was more interesting; Adam Schiff had another excellent opening statement:
“Your investigation determined that the Trump campaign – including Trump himself – knew that a foreign power was intervening in our election and welcomed it, built Russian meddling into their strategy, and used it.”
Was it enough to move Nancy to start impeachment inquiries?
BREAKING NEWS THAT DID NOT OCCUR: Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Jerry Nadler will hold a press conference 4:45 PM Eastern Time.
Okay, that time has come and gone. I’m not sure what happened. Maybe today was enough— perhaps not.
I’ll ask God:
I doubt that the hearings were enough to prompt impeachment — the purpose was “to let the public know what was in the report,” and for those of us who have paid attention, there was nothing new except that there is still an FBI investigation currently ongoing.

Pelosi seems to be waiting for something. I was hoping it would be this testimony, but no.
I’m starting to feel like a teenaged girl who is always by the phone for a guy to call.

Haha — and that guy will probably turn out to be the 2020 election! I hope the right guy shows up then!

I don’t have television. Did anyone ask why the investigation was ended? I’m curious about whether they had actually finished following leads or whether there was (yet another) obstruction of justice.

He said he was finished. It sounded like the only thing that would have dragged it on would have been if he decided to subpoena Trump, because he knew Trump would appeal it and it would take forever. He thought he had enough.

Pelosi, Nadler Schiff, and Cummings had their news conference. I had the wrong time zone. I got my hopes up AGAIN. Someone asked them why they weren’t impeaching, and Pelosi said they’re waiting for the courts to get them the items they sued for.
When will that be? IDK.
