Led by a Screwball

“Man: a being in search of meaning.”  ~Plato

Ancient Greeks seem almost prophetic

Their quotes are parenthetic:

Their meaning might not be aesthetic

Trump makes philosophers of us all (poetic? No.)

“Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.” ~Plato

Bernie is smart—so that’s not the reason

I blame Russia—which is high treason

“I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion.” ~Alexander the Great

A lion with a comb over (don’t stare)

Of sound mind?—just look at his hair

“Wait for the wisest of all counselors, time.” ~Pericles

Four years time to be exact.

He won’t last that long— fact?

“One thing I know, that I know nothing. This is the source of my wisdom.” ~Socrates

It would be so great if someone would
Explain this to Trump… but no one could

“Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.” ~Plato

Like how they always find a way

To avoid taxes – they don’t pay

Times like these make us all
