My nails have left their mark in my palms. We’re here. I’ve remained outwardly calm.
My only slip: “You’re going too slow! My God slow down! STOP! Good job. It’s green now.”
Relieved, someone else takes my place as passenger.
Anxiously I wait . . .
My child is now a licensed driver.
