Today is Tax Day AND Last Chance in Louisiana to Restore Purged Voter Registrations

April 15, today, is the deadline for filing your taxes.

Your hard-earned money is due. To realize its ambition of controlling the whole Middle East, Israel relies on our money and soldiers.

They also need enough to provide their chosen people with healthcare, so cough it up and “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain,” Iron Dome.

Still think Trump wants to MAGA?

Trump-Republican tax policy in the first year of his second term, he has:

  • Increase taxes paid by middle-income Americans by an average of $900 in 2026
  • Cut taxes for the wealthiest 1 percent by a trillion dollars over the next 10 years
  • Result in large profitable corporations paying little or no corporate income tax
  • Cut taxes for foreign shareholders in U.S. businesses by $32 billion in 2026”

Year One of Trump-Republican Tax Policy: The Consequences

Does anyone have Trump voter remorse? That’s nice, but it doesn’t change our situation.

Our only hope is a fair election.

Though many redistricting efforts have fallen short, the broader push continues, including policies that risk disenfranchising women whose current legal names don’t match their birth certificates. Don’t be surprised if your ‘Real ID’ isn’t sufficient to secure your vote.

Republicans are laser focused on blocking mail-in ballots. The GOP story: although the mail is secure for delivering your photo ID, Social Security card, debit and credit cards, stimulus checks, and tax returns, it is wildly unreliable to deliver a ballot. What a remarkable, shape-shifting postal system.

They’re also purging voter registrations.

Louisiana Voter Purge: What You Need to Know
The Secretary of State has removed far more Louisiana voters than anticipated — over 500,000 people have been moved to the inactive list.
The deadline to take action is TODAY, April 15. To resolve your status, visit your parish office in person.

In closing, I want to highlight a deeply disturbing pattern in ICE detention facilities: pregnant minors, girls who were not pregnant when officers kidnapped them, are being transferred to a facility in San Benito, Texas.

    1. Thank you. There is so much corruption it’s impossible to list in a single post, and I’m at the point that I struggle to focus on it long enough to share it. How can anyone digest it all? I know I’m not the only person whose entire worldview has changed. It’s disheartening to say the least.

  1. Why not impeachment? Why not convince your rep in congress to proceed with more and more articles of impeachment and then tell him or her to FORCE A VOTE for every article? It’s your best legal peace-embracing solution for building up the momentum of getting the bully rich-boy punk out of OUR white house, isn’t it?

    1. During his first term, Trump was impeached twice by the House, but the Senate failed to convict him.
The problem was and is that even though the House only needs a simple majority to impeach a president, we need a 2/3 super-majority vote in the Senate to convict and remove him from office.
And if that happened, and Trump went to prison (or Russia) it would take another vote in the Senate (simple majority this time) to keep Trump from running for public office in the future.
I don’t see that happening with the current ratio of GOP vs Dems. Republicans are afraid of him.
*Also, if the Senate did convict and remove Trump, VP JD Vance would become president unless we impeached him as well.
      Would that be better?
Let’s say we impeach Vance too, the Speaker is 3rd in succession, that is Mike Johnson… unless both impeachments happened in or after January, after the next Congress is sworn in, if Dems win the House majority and choose the new Speaker of the House.

  2. Plenty reasons for further impeachments in the House of Representatives. But “rule nine” forcing a vote must be invoked each time. Otherwise, the efforts are useless. There is nothing but flimsy excuses for not impeaching and forcing votes. The American people need to pick up their phones & push their congress over the precipice ~ like a herd of buffalo!
