Another Day, Another… I Don’t Know What This Is

This is only the six-month point!

Was pedophilia was the line in the sand for the red hats? Didn’t we all know about his predilections before? This was breaking news in 2015 and 2016. Trump is withholding the Epstein files—reportedly because his name appears throughout. When questioned, he lashes out at the reporter. This is nothing new. What I’ve lost patience with is people still acting surprised.

Every time another crime committed becomes public, it triggers Trump into a social media posting frenzy. His denials are predictable, and the threats that go along with them prove his guilt. An uninvolved person would say nothing, perhaps publish proof (the Epstein files) that he has no reason to sweat. He is not innocent. His history is well documented. Does “because when you’re a star they let you do it,” ring a bell? As fun as it is to see him squirm in his soiled adult diapers, it is more fun to watch his base dwindle.

Ketchup people! I am well beyond repetition. You are welcome to peruse what I wrote about Trump and Epstein over the last decade.

We’ve reached the peak of Trump’s deflection campaign. And what’s he trying to distract us from? Epstein, of course. His latest “squirrel!” President Obama is now the target of traitor Tulsi’s, taxpayer funded, baseless investigation on Trump’s behalf.

When all else fails, attack the black president.

What’s new is that Trump’s budget is designated to take effect after the midterms. He’s betting that the people losing benefits will forget—and keep voting against their own interests—because the cuts haven’t hit yet. Sadly, he’s probably right. Our attention spans are short.

I am worried.

Medicaid covers the costs for 60% of nursing home residents.

This reminds me of the person I believe started it all. I was a kid when Ronald Reagan began his assault on the middle class. Anyone remember “trickle-down Ron’s” Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981? I don’t—I wasn’t paying attention yet. But that bill, much like Trump’s, slashed social welfare programs to fund massive tax cuts for the wealthy. It made deep cuts to Medicaid, food stamps, and federal education funding. That same year, Reagan also signed the Mental Health Systems Act Repeal, effectively dismantling Carter-era efforts to fund community mental health services. Federal support for mental health housing was gutted, but patients weren’t transferred anywhere—they were just turned out. States were left to manage the fallout, with no funding and no real plan.

The streets of major cities, like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago, had a new homeless population. Those evicted from housing ended up either incarcerated or living on the streets.

Chicago’s Uptown

Uptown in Chicago, a hundred years ago, was an avant-garde neighborhood, where pianos were manufactured, films produced, home to artists and actors. Charlie Chaplin rented there for a time.

We are the richest country in the world.

Thanks to Reagan, Uptown became a neighborhood where the homeless—many once institutionalized—wandered the streets, muttering to themselves, screaming at strangers, and sleeping on crowded sidewalks. Realtors have been calling it “up-and-coming” for 30 years. Gentrification in slow motion.

1980, deinstitutionalization became a cruel, unnecessary, homeless crisis.

I’m taking this walk down memory lane because of the Medicaid cuts in Trump’s new budget. I am afraid it will force elderly residents out of nursing homes. Medicaid covers over 60% of long-term care—it’s the primary payer for most people in these facilities. WHAT ARE WE DOING, PEOPLE?

THE BILL PASSED AND YOU MAY BE LULLED INTO A SENSE OF SECURITY BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN SET UP TO GO INTO EFFECT AFTER THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS.

“Medicaid is a joint federal-state program that covers primary and acute care services, as well as long-term care services and supports, for low-income populations, including children and their families, seniors, disabled individuals and adults, many of whom work. Medicaid provides health care coverage to one in five Americans — more than 70 million people — including 40% of all children and 60% of all nursing home residents.” ~AHA.ORG

The excuse Republicans have successfully spread is that individuals should work 20 hours a week to qualify for Medicaid. And that is a convenient lie. Most recipients are already employed. They are not to blame for a culture that allows employers to avoid paying a living wage. Taxpayers subsidize underpaid employees. How fucked up is this “land of opportunity?” You can work full-time at minimum wage and still not function independently in society. There is a reason so many adults live in their parents’ basements.

The job market today, when Republicans want to add requirements for benefits, is not conducive to new hires. No one can find work. This is their way of kicking people off healthcare. People need to know food cards will have new qualifiers too.

IN OTHER RECYCLED NEWS:

Donald Trump and his crew are guilty of human rights violations. He has done more than enough to be impeached and removed. We need a majority in both branches of Congress.

On the anniversary of the day, “Trump took a bullet for us” I’d like you to watch this view from the rear of the stage.

THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE: TWO PEOPLE DIED.
IT WAS STAGED

There was no assassination attempt. It was a campaign stunt. The shooter was a MAGA cult member who had been conned into his role. He didn’t know he’d be executed. His aim was no where near where Trump was standing, and the audience member killed- was collateral damage. Trump’s ear grew back a week later.

He cheated in 2024, and he will cheat again.
He cheated.
Climate change might be real.
Oh no! This asshole died.
The truly free press can now only be found in podcasts and blogs. Mainstream media is MAGA owned.

Colbert, NPR, and PBS, have been silenced.

Let’s end with a joke. “HEY, SIRI!“

  1. I’ve been learning that it isn’t the PDF-elia that was the trigger: it was the mission of the cult being unfulfilled and dissed. That makes sense, because I haven’t seen anything new in the news, Agent Orange is known to be a pervert even by his “base”: it just is finally getting through because the surface tension broke on their bubble when he dissed the mission.

      1. Listening to the cult studyers no. It might have softened the ground, but a lot of the real ding-dongs drank the propaganda cool-aid and think it is good because Agent Orange told them so.
