An announcement made on every major news forum, yesterday was that Barron Trump was on a list of delegates named by the Florida GOP to be a delegate for Florida at the Republican National Convention.
What do we know about Barron Trump?
- Melania is his mother.
- Barron stands at 5’19”, a head taller than his father (who wears lifts and lies about his height and weight)
- He is not chatty.
- He is 18 and set to graduate from high school at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, on May 17.
We garnered that last bit of information when Donald claimed Judge Merchan, who presides over his criminal campaign finance fraud case, underway in New York, refused to allow him the day off to attend his son’s ceremony. We soon learned that Trump did not attend the high school graduations for any of his other four children, and that Judge Merchan had, in fact, granted him the time off. Him showing up for the graduation remains to be seen.
Yesterday’s news headlines were surprising. It was announced that Barron would be “making his political debut.” He was selected along with other relatives to be a delegate at-large for Florida at the Republican National Convention. Have we ever heard the young man speak?
My first thought was, did Barron agree to be put on that list? It’s easy to surmise Donald Trump wants him there so he can use another position to his advantage.

Several other family members – Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump – who were also selected to be Florida delegates.
The wife of Donald’s second son, Eric, the one who stole the money from a children’s cancer charity, was successful in her bid to be the Republican National Committee co-chairperson.
Trump likes to have his people in positions that might benefit him.

Today, Melania Trump refuted the claim regarding her son participating in the Florida delegation to the GOP convention. Barron will not join the family business after all. “He has other commitments.” My question is, was he ever asked if he wanted the job or was his dad taking advantage? I’m guessing no and yes.

I had not read this news. So, he has prior commitments…just wondering what commitments an 18-year-old has. But you know, good for Melania for pulling him out. Gotta wonder who pulled him in in the first place.

I think his prior commitments include staying out of prison. I don’t like Melania but this makes her a little less of what I thought, if that makes sense.
