Jim Jordan wants to be second in line for the presidency. He is desperate for 217 requisite votes to be Speaker of the House. On Tuesday, he got 200. Jordan’s minions then began a campaign of bullying and intimidations directed at no compliant Republicans.

It went farther. Spouses of lawmakers were also on the receiving end of harassing texts. When Jordan fell shorter with 199 votes on Wednesday, the harassment escalated to death threats.

Why shouldn’t he be Speaker?
1. Jordan was a key player in the Benghazi circus. In 2012, terrorists headed a mob that besieged American diplomatic compounds in Benghazi, Libya. Four Americans who were defending the United States’ consulate died. Three years later, the incident was used as a political prop to disparage alleged “lax security” under the leadership of, by then, former U.S. Secretary of State, who was a presidential candidate. Hillary Clinton testified for eleven hours and no wrongdoing was discovered. This led to the GOP rallying cry: “but her emails.” She was attacked and hacked and found innocent after the grueling testimony.

2. Jordan’s misuse of power is on display in his role as chairman of the House Oversight Committee. He is behind the attempt to avenge his mentor, Trump, by impeaching Joe Biden, despite having no evidence the president committed a crime.

3. The 1/6 commission has concluded, Jim Jordan was involved in every aspect of planning to execution to cover up of 1/6. He rejected a subpoena issued to him by the committee to testify. Read that last sentence again. He wants to be the Speaker of the House, but has already shown that he believes the rules don’t apply to him. Jordan loves accusing democrats and calling on them to be deposed before Congress. He has yet to face consequences for his criminal behavior.

4. Jordan coached wrestling at Ohio State University from 1986 to 1994. In 2019, an investigation found that Dr. Richard Strauss had sexually abused 177 OSU students — 48 of whom, wrestlers on the team Jordan coached. Many of those wrestlers say they confided in coach Jim Jordan about the attacks, but he did nothing. Gym ignored pleas for help. Although 177 victims have come forward, one victim corrected me. Over 500 were assaulted by the doctor, but, as is typical of victims of assault, “a majority don’t want to deal with it.” This scandal is the subject of a documentary produced by George Clooney and purchased by HBO. It seems to be a “catch and kill” (bought to bury it) because the release date has passed and there is no further information available. Dr Strauss committed suicide in 2005 in Venice Beach, California, at age 67, long after retiring from OSU in Columbus, Ohio.

5. Despite having worked in Congress for over 20 years, Jordan has never passed a bill. He made a mark by founding the Freedom Caucus- a group formed in 2015 that has undermined traditional House Republican leadership, divided the party. The group’s members rely on threats of sabotaging re-election efforts. The group comprises a handful of bullying idiots.

6. Jim Jordan is one of six GOP lawmakers who asked Trump for a pardon.

7. Jim Jordan leads the Republican effort to ban abortion nationally. He recently introduced a bill to bad abortion pills nationwide.

Jack Smith hired these guys in January 2023. 👆🏼
Jim Jordan was Trump’s right-hand conspirator in Congress for 1/6. He and others in congress will be indicted. The only question is when.
Section 3 of the 14th Amendment says you can’t serve in federal office if you’ve taken the oath and then engaged in “insurrection or rebellion.” Jim Jordan has disqualified himself from the role of Speaker—Does the constitution matter to the GOP? Nerrr.
It appears there will not be a third vote for Jordan today, because his ploys authoritarian tactics had the opposite effect of what was intended. While fewer will support him, Jim Jordan, the 1/6 conspirator still received 200 votes. Jordan says “I am still running for speaker.”
Jim Jordan was the subject of my last post. I have repeated some examples of why Jordan sucks, but if you’re you’re thirsty for more, take a gander.

And now he has changed his mind and DOES want a 3rd vote. He’s thinking third times the charm, perhaps? I’m hoping three strikes and you are outta here, buddy!

I just read that. I don’t understand why five or more of those who are being threatened don’t vote for Jeffries, just to end the craziness. They’d still have the majority and control the outcome of every vote. They can continue their customary stonewalling.
We all know Trump is behind these threats.

I am really curious how this third vote is going to go. If he lost votes the 2nd time around, why does he think things will suddenly go his way?

I think since the threats have gone from “We’ll primary you” to death threats and threatening family members, he’ll lose more support.

Maybe he plans claim he won.

He can’t read the room. 😂 I loved how McCarthy’s “why we should vote for Jim Jordan” speech was laughed at. What a bunch of misfits.
