CNN Casts Pence as 1/6 Hero

First,

Happy Third Criminal Arraignment Day!

Moving on. To be a fly on the wall – or on Mike Pence’s head…

When news story narratives need a protagonist to balance out an evil antagonist, despite having none inside Trump’s inner circles, the media will assign one.

It all started when the indictment Jack Smith issued this week was made public. If you read the document, you know this–Mike Pence’s testimony was central to this set of indictments. But, there is so much evidence against Trump pertaining to 1/6, if Pence had not complied, they could have used someone else’s word.

‘Unleashed’ Mike Pence might go all-in on pummeling Trump: CNN panel

I cannot even imagine what an “unleashed pummeling Pence would look like. CNN has, with this title, departed sense and plausibility and entered the realm of phantasmagorical.

Mother?

Mike Pence wouldn’t “pummel” a fly; we all watched that fly relax on his head during his debate with Kamala. The media are attempting to bolster this guy’s image, the yes-man, who twice called former Vice President Dan Quayle, for help in finding a way to refuse to certify the vote. He wanted to comply with our future chief-inmate, but he couldn’t. He was not brave, he was not putting country first, he had no choice.

Lurv 😍

The consequences of assigning a heroic role to Mike Pence, might be a spike in his popularity as a presidential candidate for the GOP. But, it won’t. I can’t be the only one who cringed watching Pence moon over Trump, with loving glances for four years. We all heard him call his wife “mother.” We all know he will not hold a meeting with a woman over a meal unless chaperoned.

And, we all realize Paul Manafort chose Mike Pence to be Trump’s VP, but we don’t know why.

I cannot speak for anyone who would vote for a Republican, knowing they plan to finish off the middle class, pull the rug out from under the retirement community, and even end our democracy.

The “Debate Wig” may still be available for purchase.

I do know diehard MAGA voters, forever blind to Trump’s criminality, still make up a good percentage of the Republican Party. They will never accept the 1/6 scapegoat, Mike Pence as a candidate. As for the remaining GOP base, Pence as nothing to offer.

Am I wrong?

  1. I tried to picture an ‘unleashed’ Mike Pence, too. No. Not happening.
What still boggles my mind is that Biden and Trump are in a dead heat with voters. How? Why? A news article online stated Trump is both a psychopath and a sociopath. That’s what we want in the White House? Again?
    Unleash the beast, Mikey boy!

    1. I haven’t seen those polls. I recently saw one that said the percentage voters who support Trump has declined.
“Overall, 64% of respondents do not want Trump to be president again. And that grows to 70% if he’s convicted of a crime.”

This is NPR. Do the results vary news outlet? Probably. Either way, we can’t afford to laugh off the idea of him winning. That was a mistake we made in 2016.

      1. That Biden/Trump poll was spoken on the news last night. And, no, I am definitely not laughing. But the thought that voters still think Trump’s an honest man who will lead our country to continued greatness…I don’t understand it.

      2. Wow. I didn’t see that.

I have to stop myself from laughing at this situation, and remind myself there is nothing funny another Trump term.
Why are the numbers high? Angry people drank the cool aid and they don’t want anyone telling them they were fooled. I don’t know what else it could be. He gave hatred a platform.
The only possible remedy is televising the trials. If they aren’t public we will only hear Trump’s version.
I don’t know. I may have too much confidence in Jack Smith.

    2. I think that it’s name recognition. Same reason as why DeSatan is second. The press keeps putting the names out. I think it would be super interesting if the press didn’t use the T name for a week…and covered other stories, like why congress gets to go home when it hasn’t finished its job.

      1. DeSatan…such a perfect name for him. I’m hoping we don’t get anyone worse than him when he fails in his bid for President and is driven out of our, once lovely, state.
