A child with newly acquired braces
Hoping to close up too wide spaces
Now teeth very sore
What to eat anymore
Soft foods aren’t filling- that’s what the case is
Pancakes! A solution suggested
Comfy to chew and thus ingested
That’s easy enough
I take out all the stuff
Discern- in eggs I should have invested
My resources will allow for just one
One pancake I say “could be fun!”
I’ll make by far the best
Pancake put to the test
Had Al Gore been that pancake he’d have won
The perfect pancake is really an art
You need the right pan before you can start
Heat pan test: take no chance
Drop water- it should dance
Grab the mix, you can do this! Take heart.
The pan is perfect on medium low
Every drop poured onto the pan below
Clarity color cut carat
This flapjack has merit
I watch it bubble with air… Oh no
I remembered then what I had forgot
Grease the pan- (anguish despair) I did not
So it’s safe to say
Diner pancakes are okay
There was a lesson in this I thought
~Maybe not
