All You’ll Need

You are stranded on an island without a way to charge your phone… It could happen.

My extensive research, and my vast life experience are here for you. These are five things you must always carry with you, incase you ever find yourself stranded.

1. A book- A real book made out of paper… A big thinky book that you can get lost in, and read over and over again. A book that will allow you bask in the beauty and meaning of its words and enjoy the musical cadence and flow in each sentence. A book that will leave you with a new outlook on the world you live in, and your place in it.

2. Paper and pen, so that you can use this time wisely and write your own book: on isolation, its merits and disadvantages.

3. Fishing gear. I am not a fisherman, so perhaps a net will suffice.

4. Flint to start a fire so that you can cook the fish that jump willingly into your net. Also, the fire will keep you warm.

5. A solar desalination still to turn your sea water into potable drinking water. This will become an invaluable resource, and if you are ever rescued, you can market your own bottled water and call it by the same title that you gave the book you penned, (see item 2). Perhaps you could give a free bottle of water to everyone who purchases your book at the book signing events.

That’s all I have to offer, because it is all you’ll need, so go out and purchase a bigger purse, (or man purse), with room for these five items. Now you can go about your day with confidence, knowing that you will be fine if you ever find yourself washed up on an island alone.
