Against All Odds, We Have Survived Another Week

We did. And now it’s time to spin the globe and apologize at random.

It is unfathomable how many ways Trump can embarrass the U.S. This week The White House issued demands to Sweden, France, and who knows who else, demanding that they comply with his anti-DEI policy. They declined.

Pete Hegseth

Former Fox News Anchor, and non-functioning alcoholic, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, is still on payroll. Despite butt texting top secret war information regarding the U.S. bombing of Yemen, 15-minutes before it happened, in two separate group conversations, on an unsecured messaging app, “Signal” he still has his job. The administration has swept Hegseth’s lack of judgment and threat to national security under the rug alongside several empty bottles of scotch.

“Idiot” Mike Walz

National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who initiated the first chat, the one which Pete included a reporter from the Atlantic, was fired as a result… or was he? 🤔 They lie. Trump made him a U.N. Ambassador to the United Nations, which could be considered a promotion.

Jeanine Pirro

When we think things can’t get worse, they do. It’s a law of nature. Fox News’ box wine connoisseur, (some boxed wines are good) Jeanine Pirro, has been selected by his orangeness to be interim U.S. Attorney for D.C.

Pope Leo XIV

The new Pope was born in Chicago. (I was too.)  MAGA is claiming that Trump made one phone call and *BOOM* we have a Pope from the U.S.

Stephen Miller is suing Chief Justice John Robert on behalf of the White House. The goal is to take control of the SCOTUS.

Miller is on the right.

My question, will the Joseph Goebbels lookalike see this lawsuit all the way to the Supreme Court?

This is not a joke.

Moving on…

Bush

Melanie Trump, (that’s his pet name for her … right?) invited former Republican President George W. Bush to the White House to commemorate a new U.S. postage stamp that bears his mother’s image.

Hair Trump knocked Bush off the “all time worst U.S. POTUS, ever” pedestal, and for that, the 43rd president, who started two wars, should feel a modicum of relief. Like all good republicans, he also tanked the economy.

Bush refused the invitation, but not as an act of defiance against this administration. He doesn’t do that. He was the only former POTUS to remain silent during the 2024 campaign. W said no because his mother hated Donald Trump. End of story.

  1. Good for W. Do it for mom.

US Attorney for DC–all I see is Cecily Strong doing her Pirro imitation on SNL, slinging wine on everyone. The stupidity of his choices never stops.

And the BIG news for Thursday (“I can’t tell you yet”) was the deal with the UK that is not even finalized yet? WTFH?
