Before Inauguration
Man, I just can’t bring myself to vote for Kamala. Gotta go with my gut. Feels like both sides are basically the same anyway—just choosing the lesser evil at this point.
Now
What the actual fuck are the Democrats doing?! Fascism is taking over in real time and they’re just fucking watching it happen. No urgency, no fight—just weak-ass statements and performative bullshit. People’s rights are getting shredded and they’re acting like it’s business as usual. It’s infuriating. Do something, goddammit!
Many Trump supporters see he is not the person he professed to be. His lack of humanity, empathy, and self-awareness was known. It’s the lost money that woke up the right. But let’s always blame someone else because taking accountability for your decisions (your vote) takes backbone.

Donald Trump is one man—and he could not carry out the cruelty we’ve witnessed without the help of willing accomplices. He appointed his cabinet because he knew he could control them and that they were of like mind. But together, they are still only one of our three coequal branches of government.
“The Framers structured the government in this way to prevent one branch of government from becoming too powerful, and to create a system of checks and balances.”
https://www.usa.gov/branches-of-government
We have three branches of government designed to prevent tyranny, yet only the judicial branch is offering any real resistance—and even that is limited.
Trump’s unchecked power raises the questions: Where is Congress? Are there any rational Republicans left in Congress? Were there ever?
We often lumped Senator Lisa Murkowski into the same category as the pearl clutching “he learned a valuable lesson” Senator Susan Collins. They were the moderate Republicans who were supposedly willing to vote for country over party. Murkowski has done so more frequently than the… zero? times Collins has.
Senator Murkowski is direct and honest about the failure of Congress to stop Trump’s drive towards authoritarianism. She knows he acts outside the confines of the constitution. She has admitted she is afraid to take action and adds that her colleagues are also frightened because retaliation from the president is real. It surpasses being primaried. These are violent threats directed at the families of elected officials. This is not normal. Despotism has the upper hand in this struggle because individuals capable of stopping it are reluctant to act.
So what do we do? I don’t know. Maybe a quote will help.
The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it. ~Albert Einstein

I thought so too! The internet is a great source. (I do give credit when I can find the creator.) 😊
