Chuck Grassley Finally Gets Pushback

Nonagenarian (91-year old) United States Senator Chuck Grassley from Iowa has consistently failed to demonstrate concern for his constituents. It brings me joy to see him called out by those who elected him… even someone in MAGA hat spoke out. The best is when he began his standard GOP excuse: “the democrats…” but was drowned out by angry voices.

The media will not report stories like this out of fear of Trump’s wrath.

This and with no due process as promised by the constitution.

“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person (ANY person) of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” 14th Amendment of the Constitution

There is anger in small towns over the treatment of migrants and Trump’s disregard for the Supreme Court ruling, and its building. We need to form a united front and force Congress to remove him. They are the only ones who can do it.

The round up of brown-skinned, tattooed men was a publicity stunt. ICE didn’t bother with due process, and they didn’t respond to orders to turn the plane around. Trump will return none of them because that would be an admission of guilt. He is digging his lifts in the ground. So what are we going to do about it?

I will not give you a laundry list of Chuck Grassley’s reprehensible behavior, like when he helped push through Brett Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS confirmation by keeping witnesses (apart from Christine Blasey Ford) from testifying. I’m just not. Nor will I repeat what he did in 2017, when tasked with writing a bill to subsidize struggling farms, and instead created legislation that fit the parameters of his land, then advised his colleagues to apply. Six other congressional leaders, and two dozen other legislators, have netted themselves $15 million in federal grants over two decades. Other recipients of aid were large agricultural conglomerates. They collected taxpayer funded subsidies that they did not need to stay solvent. Small family farms received nothing and dissolved.

The pasture is calling for you, Chuck. You’ve done enough damage, it’s time to retire.

  1. Did he think has age was going to prevent voters from lashing out and venting their anger and frustration on him. Think again, Chuck. Time to move on.
