A fool (without bacon) and his money are soon parted.
“People can’t afford to buy bacon,” he repeats at every rally, but they purchase his merchandise. Trump turns every event, planned or happenstance, into an opportunity to sell merchandise.

Staged perfectly, the photo of Trump, surrounded by his Secret Service detail, an upside-down flag centered behind the group, his fist in the air, was another occasion to move schlock. T-shirts, hats and even shoes, hit the market within hours of the July 13, “assassination attempt.” The buyers are his supporters who can’t buy bacon.

The latest item is a Trump bobble head with the blood (capsule) streak across one cheek.

They quickly created a GoFundMe as well, “for victims of the Butler, PA shooting.” It has raised $4 million.
The GoFundMe is “President Trump authorized” and organized by *Meredith O’Rourke, who is “Trump’s top finance person,” and is raising money for those “wounded or killed” by gunfire at the Trump rally in Butler Pennsylvania. Hmm, who falls into the “victim” category?
https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/amp/msna1301781
The malignant narcissist who is the Republican candidate considers himself the primary injured party. Who believes this money will end up in the hands of the true victims? Not me.
*Meredith O’Rourke, the GoFundMe organizer, hails from Florida and has been a top political fundraiser for Republicans for decades, including U.S. Senator Rick Scott, the guy who defrauded the American taxpayer by embezzling from Medicare and Medicaid. It was the largest healthcare fraud in U.S. history. The government fined Scott and others involved $1.7 billion. How was this person (woman, man, camera, t.v., Sir) elected as a U.S. Senator? People don’t read the news.

Anyway, are you curious who the GoFundMe top donors are? A $50,000 appropriation came from the “conservative think tank” The Heritage Foundation, $50,000 from American Hartford Gold, $50,000 from UFC CEO White and $50,000 from the singer Kid Rock.
Other large, notable donations to the fundraiser include $30,000 from former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, $25,000 from the Scaramucci family and $15,000 from far-right extremist pundit Ben Shapiro. Is this a money laundering scheme? You betcha. Donating like this is a perfect way to avoid the constraints of campaign contribution limits.

And despite all the capital that campaign stunt generated, it was a failed attempt at something more nefarious. After telling his Secret Service detail to “wait, wait, wait,” he straightened his toupee and shouted for his shoes, then raised his fist and looked into the camera and saying “fight, fight, fight!” He tried to blame the Biden administration for the shooting., wanting to start a civil war; he still does. When news leaked that the shooter was a Trump supporter, that stomped out his supporter’s need for revenge.
Trump realizes he’s on a path to losing, bigly. He’s backpedaling regarding his stance on abortion. “Six weeks might be too short.”

Trump is desperate to regain military support, which he’ll need to stage another coup. His people were notified of laws regarding political activity at the graveyard. Trump was not really there for a wreath ceremony. He never showed interest in that kind of thing before. He was there to film a political ad. The five – time draft dodger’s plan was to stage a fake ceremony at Arlington, pretend it was public, and then condemn VP Harris for not showing up.

They abruptly pushed aside a female employee of Arlington National Cemetery who was trying to enforce federal law, army regulations, and DOD policies. Trump denies the accusation. In a statement to the media, he asserted she was having “a mental episode.” A report was filed, but she was afraid to press charges. Why would that be? Trump, who already lashed out at her has a history of relentless retaliation.

He claimed he couldn’t help it if someone had a camera. (See photo above.) Trump claims the 13 families wanted him there. Trump laughs at rules. He was there, desecrating the hallowed burial grounds of American Heroes to film a political ad that might make him look less hateful to the military. When accused of shoving the employee, he said he had video to prove there was no altercation, but then backtracked. If he shows video, it is evidence that Trump’s mob was videotaping.

Trump has received backlash for disrespecting the military again. He is blaming everyone from the Gold Star families to President Biden for the fail at Arlington National Cemetery. And he claims he didn’t know the rules.

All the nut jobs come from Florida. And Gaetz was easily re-elected. Not that the other guy stood a chance, but we have to be known for something other than our lunatic politicians.

My first thought was gerrymandering, but not with Rick Scott in the Senate and DeSantis as Governor.
I don’t know how they stay in office.

For all the billboards and signs around town claiming, “Don’t Say Gaetz” I don’t know why/how he stays in office. It is frustrating. And Rick Scott…don’t even get me started. DeSantis is now seeing a little fall from grace. Little bit at a time works for me.

“Don’t say Gaetz” is hilarious! I want to know why he hasn’t been indicted. Come to think of it none of the insurrectionists in Congress have been either. Is the DOJ waiting for a Trump conviction? I hope there is a plan.
