Representative Jim Jordan has finally won a vote! Calm down. Jordan’s support increasingly waned during three failed votes to secure the role of House Speaker. After today’s humiliation, republicans, by secret ballot, voted Jordan OUT as contender for Speaker. Republican lawmakers have not chosen a new nominee, as yet.

Now, I want to know why Jim can’t afford a jacket?
Despite his wife’s status as a retired teacher, and his $174,000 annual salary, provided by taxpayers, he never wears a full suit.
Is his frugality limiting his clothing allotment by only purchasing half a suit, how he amassed a $30 million net worth? This is a better question—Where did Jordan gain his wealth?

I’m rather hoping that the GOP picks a few reps from swing districts to vote for Jeffries. They might, mainly because they get better press as carpers and complainers.

That would be ideal. I think they’d be more likely to jump ship on their own or after meeting with Jeffries. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think the GOP would voluntarily give the speakership to a democrat.

I think their overlords would do it surreptitiously. The GOP looks worse and worse the longer this goes on, and many are in districts that are not blood red so they need to “change the narrative”…and quickly; it is almost 2024.
