Moses and the $19,000 Lectern

Today is Sarah Sunday. I believe she was the topic of my post a week ago. As a recompense for her alleged crimes she offers us comic relief, which we need.

Let’s delve into Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her accidental embezzlement, shall we? She claims it was all a clerical error.

☝🏼 Rare and Biblical 👇🏼

A better applied justification would be the shield offered by religion. Sarah is a devout Christian, the child of a preacher man. Would a Christian embezzle? Bah.
It is more likely that this is the original lectern put to use by Moses, when he read to his people the second set of tablets, chiseled out of heavy stone, transcribed to him by God …the Ten Commandments. Moses also carved out this lectern. If it is what I describe, it is the one and only “Exodus lectern,” It is so rare no one knew it existed; she got it for a steal.

Arkansas ranks #47 (of 50, for graduates of the Arkansas school system,) in education.

Sarah’s simple-minded attempt to falsify a receipt, marking up a $750 lectern by $18,250, implies that she believes her constituents are that bad at math. This explains why she wants to keep them ignorant, is against funding education, and pro child-labor.

Did she use the $19k to buy designer apparel? 🤔

Over $19k is what she billed taxpayers for a lectern. When she was challenged, legend has it, she bought one for $750 and requested the date on the receipt to be kept blank. Next she revised the cost on the receipt. Someone in Governor Sarah Sanders’ office apparently instructed state employees to write “to be reimbursed” on a “months-old” invoice for a $19,000 lectern. That is her definition of ‘not a clerical error.’

A whistleblower outed her. That is the person to blame, not the embezzler.

Some people understand the true value of a lectern.

It is exhilarating to hear a rustic tale of an unscrupulous governor generating a forged invoice to obscure a taxpayer-funded 5-star holiday in Paris. She faces a “potential legislative audit.” If found guilty, this is a class D felony in Arkansas. [googles class D felony]

“Class D Felony: Carries a maximum sentence of six years. Examples include aggravated assault, breaking and entering, cruelty to animals, and defacing a firearm. Unclassified felony: The sentence and fine limitations are determined by the specific criminal statute.”

OMW. (Mom, acronym for “Oh my word.”) Read what else is a class D felony, “cruelty to animals.”

Sarah’s brother David Huckabee is a monster.

In 2007, Sarah’s brother brutally murdered a stray dog for fun. His Governor papa made the crime go away.

David Huckabee, Mike’s Son: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Sarah learned everything she knows from her dad, former Baptist Minister, and former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee. He misappropriated $400,000 during his tenure. He was never held accountable.

She would not be the first Governor to do prison time. Example: 4 of the last 10 in Illinois… except no one in Arkansas is going to hold Sarah accountable. Republicans never do. Furthermore, her father is a baptist minister and former governor. She has religion shielding her.

Same lady ended child labor laws.

  1. Sounds like Sarah H. might be “on the right”, but she doesn’t know right from wrong. This is one of the reasons that I think we should stop using “right” to describe Nazis and reactionaries. I swear most of “the base” don’t know that it doesn’t mean correct in that context.

    1. She looks worried in a video clip trying to explain it was an error and has been paid back.
Falsifying documents to cover up embezzlement would end with prison time for the Governor if this was Illinois. If she’s held accountable, I’ll be shocked.
