There’s A Man With A Gun Over There 

For what it’s worth, 

I’ve stopped discussing my political views. 

I’ve given up on arguing political hot topics. 

I’ve given up on arguing issues that 

I believe should not be issues, 

but because common sense solutions are rebuffed,

they remain issues.

That will likely never change.

I’ve given up because 

it doesn’t seem to matter 

how powerful or vocal a person is, 

there are too many powerful and vocal people 

with opposing views 

who won’t allow solutions 

that solve issues. 

You won’t hear me arguing, 

and for what it’s worth, 

there will always be a man 

with a gun over there.
