The title of this book is what caught my eye, as my work had me briefly in Paris this week. Is it me, or is the cover is suspiciously similar to that of “A Paris Wife”? That similarity raised my expectations. I’m not sure what I expected from this book, but I was disappointed.
Tatiana de Rosnay’s “A Paris Affair” is a series of very short stories with the reoccurring theme of infidelity gone wrong. Can it go right? This book will have you believe that all men, particularly French men, but really all men cheat. “A Paris Affair” is a tiny book filled with undeveloped stories and stereotypical characters. It will leave you, if married, nervous and watchful, and if single, hopeless. I generally don’t like to spend more time discussing a book than it takes me to read it, so I’ll end this post now, and leave you to draw your own conclusions, as the book does with every story.
