A Pot To Piss In-
Urban Dictionary:
Slang term meaning “any money or commodities”. Can only be used with a negative prefix.
Poor guy doesn’t have a pot to piss in.
That is piss poor… no, actually my questionable online research says:
Piss poor-
the phrase origin: poor people selling their urine to tanneries who used it to tan leather
What is with my choice for today’s topic? Has something pissed me off?
Pissed off – angry: possible origin relating somehow to animals marking their territory.
My bathroom is in the process of being remodeled. This is not something that was in my budget, but I was dealing with a pipe leaking behind a wall, crumbling tile, and mold. I felt I could not postpone repairs any longer, so time to take out a loan…
because I don’t have a pot to piss in… or a window to throw it out of.
-Medieval London times with no plumbing, Londoners used chamber pots and emptied them by throwing the contents out a window into the gutter.
This has been a bit stressful, but if I cut corners I’ll manage. I won’t have the money to piss away getting pissed,
Pissed in UK – drunk
Piss away US – throw away
Time for me to piss off.
Piss off – buzz off
It seems I can’t have a pot to piss in, and a pot to piss in. Soon enough though, I’ll have a pot to piss in, even with no pot to piss in.
