I received this email, from Social Security (marketing) as did most of the country, last night, on the evening of July 3, claiming I would no longer pay taxes on Social Security.
Did the Blubbering Bastard’s Bill cut taxes on Social Security?
Had Social Security tax cuts been part of Trump’s budget, it would have been his biggest talking point, not an afterthought.
I believe the email was damage control (propaganda) meant to calm people down after the outrage caused by the passage of his unpopular bill.
We are living in Orwellian times.
I want people to understand that what we are told by the news media, by government agencies, by press secretaries, by the felon, should not be taken as fact. There is nothing in the bill about Social Security. You should know they’ll be after that benefit soon enough.
My post yesterday may not have coherently conveyed the point I intended to share, which is:
After expecting the ‘June Jobs Report’ to show 95,000 – 100,000 new jobs, on live television, Fox no less, reported that there was a loss of 33,000 jobs.
A day later, that number was altered to say we gained 147,000. The felon now controls our information. The timing was good because it made last night’s Social Security email easy to identify as bullshit.

That email in my Inbox this morning stunned me. Who in the heck sent that out?! But here in FL, we don’t pay tax on our Social Security….based on our income.
I am flabbergasted at everything going on with this presidency. Anything he wants, he gets? Anything he doesn’t like, he sues? And everyone capitulates to him? And the GOP whose arms he twisted to pass his damning bill walked around gloating that they received all this ‘cool autographed stuff’? They are dumber than I gave them credit for.
We are in a hell that is getting hotter by the minute. Next up? Mt Rushmore with one more president? No. Please. Just no.

I searched the sender and also Social Security’s website and only found a scam warning that they don’t send emails unless under special circumstances and in that case the email address should end with @socialsecurity.gov
Doge hijacked Social Security. They stole our data and they’re using it. This was sent by the administration.
I also meant to add a picture of Kiev Ukraine from yesterday. Trump met with Putin and within hours Russia bombed Kiev. Trump, like Putin, is a monster.

It is, but it’s harder for me to feel sympathy when they do. And I know that’s counter productive.
A woman was on Twitter begging for help because she voted for Trump to “stick it to the libs,” but as a Type-2 diabetic on Medicaid she is afraid she’ll die. Now she regrets her vote and wants the libs to help her.
I have lost my compassion for them. The devil on my shoulder whispered “tell her to eat a salad and f*ck off.”
I stayed silent.

Silence is the answer. Shun these people. This woman is an adult who made a choice. The question that I have for them is: What are you doing to undo the damage you did? Whinging about being a moron in a bleat or on TikTok = nothing. Here is what I wrote just after the election:
Own it. When you voted you chose Project 2025…ALL of it. It’s a package deal. As it is enacted you need to recognize that was what you wanted. You had another option. No whining or claiming that you didn’t know.
Own it. You are an adult and you made a choice. As I see it, you chose hatred, cruelty and violence. You wanted to be feared. You got it. So at least let me know who you are so I can give you a wide berth.
