Friday is Keep Your Money Day!

The biggest to avoid: Amazon, Target, Disney, Google, Walmart, McDonald’s, General Mills, Nestlé, Facebook, Twitter … Oh, maybe don’t buy a Tesla.

Consider what Sheryl Crow did—she sold her Tesla and donated the proceeds to National Public Radio.

Elon Musk, the richest man on the planet, is making on average $8 million per day from government contracts. Meanwhile, they say Medicaid and food assistance are excessive.

Did you know we subsidize Amazon? Yes we do. $11.6 billion, and counting.

“Three great forces rule the world: stupidity, greed, and fear.” ~Albert Einstein

The GOP embodies all three.

  1. Good post. I was unaware that we were subsidizing Amazon directly. I just thought we were providing food and medical for the underpaid employees, and for the infrastructure they use to transport. The Good Jobs First Website is a trove of information.

    1. Thank you. It’s disgusting how many handouts taxpayers provide the group who need it least. And they have manipulated us into thinking we don’t deserve, and can’t afford, universal healthcare. I’ll save this argument for another post. I’m just so disappointed that we’re in this position and most people don’t see it.

YES. Employees for big box companies are paid so poorly that many qualify for public assistance. Taxpayers are essentially providing the living wage that Bezos and his colleagues hoard. “We can’t afford to raise minimum wage.” Yes you can, Mr Man. They intercept employees trying to unionize.

Wake up people. We have been manipulated into thinking the problem is the people who have been exploited. The rich are the problem. It’s time to come together because we have a common enemy.
