The Chiefs played lazy this season, barely making it to the Super Bowl with the referees’ help. Last night proved they were not up to the task because didn’t deserve to be there. It should have been Buffalo.
Allow me to summarize the two 2025 Super Bowl teams.

The Chiefs were favored to win because they had the same core group of players that secured the last two Super Bowls. Had they won last night, it would have been historic. No team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowls.
Trump chose the Chiefs. Everything Trump touches dies.
Alas, the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs’ ‘three-peat’ hopes were dashed… after Trump picked them to win… he chose them because Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs’ QB Patrick, went full-blown MAGA on social media.
This is the moment the Chiefs lost the game.
It wasn’t just the rich white woman (known for not tipping) and the Mahomes family (pregame photo-op with Trump below) that went MAGA. It is the entire Chiefs’ organization that put their money behind Trump’s campaign.
The Eagles supported democracy.
Last night, Eagles’ fans outnumbered Chiefs fans by a large margin and made their voices heard as Chiefs ran on the field. Loud boos contrasted with cheers when the Eagles entered.
Taylor Swift was also booed by the heavily pro-Eagles crowd when shown on the video boards inside the Superdome in the first quarter. Philly jeered her last year too. They’re known as a ruthless crowd. She expected it, laughed it off, and survived.

Later last night, his inner middle-school bully, Hair Donald, posted a video of the crowd booing Swift, on Truth Social. Cyberbullying is frowned upon, isn’t it? Wasn’t that part of his wife’s ‘Be Best’ initiative? He hates her because she is a vocal Democrat. Did Travis Kelce rethink his remarks about Trump after that? Probably, but for the wrong reasons.
Mahomes played “the worst game of his career” (said every sport’s announcer) throwing two interceptions — one returned by Cooper DeJean for a touchdown, losing a fumble, and he was sacked six times. When the eagles had the ball, the Chiefs defense was distracted by focused on birthday boy Saquon Barkley, allowing QB Jalen Hurts play football.

Eagles QB, Jalen Hurts, played one of his best games ever. How many Chiefs covered Saquon while Jalen Hurts threw long and ran first downs? Condolences to all the gamblers who put money on Barkley touchdowns. I wanted to see one too.
