The penalty for “roughing the passer” is 15-yards. If you don’t watch football, let me tell you it’s a lot. It can change the outcome of a game. Watching the Chiefs’ playoffs is more frustrating than entertaining, especially when it seems the powers that be chose the winner in advance of the game. I wasn’t planning to rant about football today, but here we are.
That 9-point lead the Chiefs had over the Texans? It came courtesy of some truly awful calls. Coincidence? I doubt it—it happens far too often to ignore. I don’t blame the refs because I believe the orders come from the top. The NFL seems determined to push the Chiefs into the Super Bowl for the sake of ratings, and once again, yesterday afternoon, the referees made terrible calls whenever they could to make it happen. And let’s not forget Patrick Mahomes and his childish drama: “Did you see that? He pushed me!” If you missed it, this was the game: Mahomes’ antics, countless referee whistles, and flying yellow… BOOM—Chiefs win. The moral of that story is, sometimes cheaters prosper.
Maybe they would have won anyway, but we’ll never know, will we? Doesn’t anyone on the team see that integrity is more important than another ring?
Even the announcer, Troy Aikman, called it out, highlighting every questionable flag and replaying them for viewers to judge. It’ll be interesting to see if the NFL continues to allow—or perhaps even encourage—these antics now that they’ve been publicly scrutinized. This preferential flagging has been going on for at least three years. Great teams like the Bengals, the Bills, and others have been robbed of playoff wins because of it.
The NFL wants the Chiefs in the Super Bowl FOR RATINGS. Viewership this year, like last, is off the charts because tight-end Travis Kelce is dating Taylor Swift. There has been a 63% increase in female viewership that can be attributed to Swift. Swifties are tuned into Chiefs games. I love Taylor Swift. She, like McKenzie Scott (Bezos ex-wife), are two philanthropic billionaires who do not donate for sake of publicity. They are good people. Travis is trying to deserve her. (Meh) If the Chiefs don’t make the playoffs will Swifties stay engaged? Probably not. This is why the NFL will keep them in the game.
I cheered for the Texans. Why? The more I know about the Chiefs the less I like them.
Harrison Buker… hold my lemon Limoncello Lacroix. I’ve ranted about him before. The chiefs overpaid kicker with the over bleached teeth is a misogynist of the first order. Hold me back. He is part of the far right Christian nationalist party that wants to put women back in the 1950s. Yes I’m still talking about the commencement speech at Benedictine College during which he unapologetically told the women graduates their greatest aspiration should be that of a good homemaker.

He sat beside Hawley and told Fox host Laura Ingram: “I’m talking about how beautiful it is for women to just … step aside.” Listen to me Harrison, be gay, no one cares. Oh, and shut the fuck up. I’ve said all that before.
Moving on. I admit Mahomes’ Kermit the frog on adderol sideline interviews are entertaining, but he he is overrated as a player. He wasn’t invited to the pro-bowl this year because his stats don’t rank in the top ten. His team’s top ranking this year had little to do with him.

Commanders’ Rookie QB Jayden Daniels eliminated Mayfield and Goff from the playoffs in the past week. He must have moved up in his standings from 7th.

You can be sure imma find something other than politics to write about with Hair Donald’s second occupation of the White House. If you prefer my political posts, you can go back to 2016 and reread what I wrote during his first term. Nothing in has changed. It is all still relevant. Screaming into the wind will change no one’s mind at this point. Most people are too disengaged to notice what is happening in Washington. They will be until it affects them, and it will.
The Washington Commanders and Jayden Daniels are the team to watch. I’d love to see the skinny rookie QB steal that ring from Mahomes.

I have no interest in football. My first reaction was to the idea of Laura Ingraham, who is way more alpha male than Josh Hawley, or, for that matter, most MAGAhat males, being the host when someone said that women should step aside. The irony is amazing. Parody is dead.
