What Could Be Worse Than to Be Donald Trump in 2024

There is poetic justice seeing misogynist Donald Trump, brought to his knees by women.

In October 2016, Stormy Daniels secured $130,000 to keep the story of her affair with Trump quiet with the November election looming. It didn’t work because he used campaign funds to pay her off.

E. Jean Carroll has been awarded $83.3 million in her second defamation lawsuit against Trump, in addition to the $5 million awarded in her initial lawsuit.

Tish James successfully prosecuted her New York business fraud case against Trump. He has been ordered to pay $454 million in fines and interest.

“In a massive victory, we won our case against Donald Trump for engaging in years of incredible financial fraud to enrich himself.

Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and his former executives must pay over $450 million in disgorgement and interest.

  • Trump, Allen Weisselberg, and Jeff McConney are banned from serving as an officer or director of any New York company for three years.
  • Weisselberg and McConney are banned for life from serving in any financial role at a New York company.
  • Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump are banned from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation for two years.
  • Trump and the Trump Organization are banned from applying for loans from any New York financial institution for three years.
  • The independent monitor at the Trump Org will continue to oversee its financial dealings and ensure they stop their staggering fraud.
  • A new, independent compliance director will be created at the Trump Org to ensure the company establishes financial protocols.

When powerful people cheat to get better loans, it comes at the expense of hardworking people. Everyday Americans cannot lie to a bank to get a mortgage, and if they did, our government would throw the book at them. There simply cannot be different rules for different people. For years, Donald Trump engaged in massive fraud to unjustly enrich himself, his family, and his organization. He may have authored ‘The Art of the Deal,’ but he perfected the art of the steal. Now, he is finally facing the consequences of his illegal actions.

Today, justice has been served. This is a major win for everyone who believes that we must all play by the same rules. No matter how big, how rich, or how powerful you are, no one is above the law. Not even Donald Trump.”

Can Trump refuse to pay? No!

If Trump can’t pay or secure a bond in the civil fraud case in New York state court, the judgment would take immediate effect, allowing a sheriff to start seizing his assets.

In federal court, Trump was told to pay E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million, plus $5 million from a previous verdict. Carroll could seek post-judgment discovery from the trial judge, allowing them to demand Trump’s bank records, put liens on his property, or garnish his wages.

Can Trump delay payment by appealing the verdicts? No!

In all three cases, he must either deposit big money into a court escrow account or obtain a bond while appealing the verdicts.

What’s left? The criminal cases Special Counsel Jack Smith is working on. On February 6, Trump’s “I have presidential immunity” case was denied in the court of appeals. He is now taking his argument to the Supreme Court.

“We cannot accept that the office of the Presidency places its former occupants above the law for all time thereafter,”

~Appeals Court Judges Michelle Childs, Karen Henderson and Florence

As was his intention, Trump has managed to slow the pace Jack Smith attempting to keep. D.C. Judge Chutkin had to postpone Trump’s 1/6 trial until a decision is made, now by the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile I believe Jack Smith is in the process of having Judge Aileen Cannon removed from the case.

  1. Trump’s attorneys decided not to appeal to the Supreme Court about his immunity. They missed the date to appeal. They decided not to appeal or they missed the deadline? Weird, right?
And Judge Cannon actually ruled against Trump. Who knew she had it in her??!!

      1. It was a big news day for sure! Clearly I missed a lot- focused on Navalny.

This quote makes no sense to me:
“Trump opts against Supreme Court appeal on civil immunity claim over Jan. 6 lawsuits. The decision not to seek high court review means cases brought against Trump over Jan. 6 can move forward in district court, although he can still mount an immunity defense.”

Does that mean the civil cases can proceed, but not the criminal? I’ll crack this code and clarify in another post. Google time.

      2. Well that won’t go well for Trump since Ms. James already did the work, and state convictions are not pardonable. 👏🏻🏆 That is the best news!
What else? I know Fani is having a self inflicted hiccup, but it won’t change the outcome of the case in Georgia.

      3. Oh my…what to say about Fani. When she was asked if she withdrew money from the bank to repay ‘her boyfriend” and she shook her head in disgust and said, “No, lady.” I died. I look forward to the outcome on this one.

      4. She is a warrior. I heard her dad testify about the threats and people coming to her house when she opened the case. She didn’t back even then. This will slow things down a bit but it won’t change the outcome. (I hope.)
