My adult son listens to Joe Rogan, the overconfident podcaster who pretends he’s informed on the topics he discusses and is not an extremist. My son and I have argued over this, and he has put the podcast on my television to force me to watch it. For my son, I sat through about ten minutes then reiterated, I can’t stand Joe Rogan. Why not?
My words didn’t do justice to my argument. Rogan speaks for himself, and this is just one example of why.
Joe Rogan used a fragment of a speech President Biden made to argue that anyone who voted for him should regret it. He took the partial sentence out of context and continued his argument saying Biden is too old to be employed, let alone President. He and his yes-man went on and on about the stupidity of such a comment.
During the same show, Rogan was faced with the context of Biden’s remarks. Biden was repeating Trump’s words to highlight his stupidity. Rogan didn’t mention Trump is too old to be president. Then a video of Trump’s comment was played. He didn’t say people should regret supporting him. He said,
“Oh okay. So he fucked up.” Moving on…
Joe Rogan unapologetically spreads disinformation and ignorance. He’s toxic. I love my son, but I wish he wasn’t influenced by people like Joe Rogan.
See if you can get him to watch the YouTube channel Beau of the Fifth Column. He does some really good pieces about fact checking and how to do it. He also is very good at explaining domestic and foreign policy. If you watch him you might get ideas about how to talk to your son. It’s helped me deal with my dad.

That’s gotta be hard watching our son agree with this guy.
‘nother note: How are you and your mom feeling?

It’s so frustrating. And he thinks I’m brainwashed.
My mom never became very sick. She took the meds right away and after the 5-day treatment was done, she was 100%.
I didn’t know I had Covid in time to take the meds.
I’m much better but still have low-energy, brain-fog, and chest cold symptoms. Still improving every day. Thank you for asking 😊
