Clowns [Me] Jokers – News

How do you spell corruption? It’s spelled out in North Carolina’s new 600-page budget.

I’ve used this example several times,
because it’s perfect.

North Carolina is one of the most gerrymandered states in the country. A top Republican official was exposed in 2022 when secret redistricting maps used for gerrymandering purposes were found. The consequences politicians face after being exposed are a week or two of embarrassment. (See Lauren Boobert.) Then it’s back to business as usual.

I was about to wax eloquent on provisions included in North Carolina’s new budget …that include an allowance for gerrymandering, then I heard Eric Willoughby, a North Carolina 17-year-old high school student, say it all more concisely. I deleted my words and attached the link, so you can hear his speech. The officials did not heed his warning.

The story linked below explains another item hidden in the budget. The ‘Gov Op Committee’, controlled by Republicans, has given themselves extraordinary powers, including the right to seize records and issue fines for whistleblowers’ provision. The South Carolina GOP also intends to create a secret police force.

North Carolina Republicans create “secret police force”

Gen Z … help us.

Meanwhile …Trump is in NYC

Met with boos in front of Trump Tower, the naked emperor now sits in court. His $250 million Civil Fraud Trial has begun.

  1. Elect that young man to office! Did you see the facial expressions on the three people he was addressing? If not for the fact that the camera was right on them, I am sure we would have seen them yawning and checking their cellphones.

    1. His generation has been under attack from their first ‘active shooter drill.’ I hope there are more like him, willing to work to make a difference. There are a few Parkland shooting survivors who are already working toward that goal.
David Hogg just graduated Harvard with a law degree.
Republican legislators in red states currently holding office have spent their time trying to rig the system so they can’t be voted out. It seems hopeless, but states like Michigan have proven it is possible to change.
