Today is the 22nd anniversary of the attacks of 9/11. Four airplanes involved, two hit New York’s Twin Towers, a third struck the Pentagon, and the fourth plane’s thwarted effort to attack the Capitol went down in Pennsylvania.
The hijackers hailed from four countries; 15 were from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt and one from Lebanon.

Zero Iraqis, zero Iranians and zero Afghans attacked America. Yet, President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney’s administration waged war against them under false pretenses. It was for oil.
- 2,996 died on 9/11, but what came after dwarfed that sum.
- 7,000 is a low estimate of the number of United States troops who have been killed fighting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 8,000 + contractors killed during the “War on Terror.”
- 177,000 + national military and police from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraqi, and Syria allies have perished. Western Allie’s have also paid high human costs.
- 111,000 Afghan civilians have been murdered since the UN began recording civilian casualties in 2009.
- 4,600 + New York responders, cleanup crews, and survivors who have taken part in a WTC health program have died. Their deaths caused by toxic chemicals in the air released when the twin towers fell.
- 23,000 more have a diagnosis of at least one type of cancer.

I am unplugging for the rest of the day because I’ve exceeded my limit for nonstop video clip replays of the plane’s impact, burning and falling buildings, and people jumping from windows.
