Tommy Tuberville is A Lot of Things

“My opinion of a White Nationalist-if someone wants to call them White Nationalist-to me, is an American.”

Tommy Turberville, is a U.S. Senator from Alabama Republican

On CNN:

Senator Turberville: “My opinion of a white nationalist… it’s an American. If that white nationalist is a racist, I’m totally against them.

Host Caitlan Collins: “White nationalist is racist.

Tuberville: “That’s your opinion.”

Tommy Turberville is a racist.

Amendment 14, Section 3 prohibits public office holders who have taken an oath to support the U.S. Constitution and then engage in insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or who give aid or comfort to enemies of the United States, from serving in public office.

Photos put Tuberville in Trump’s hotel on Jan. 5 despite denying meeting

Tommy Tuberville is unfit to hold office.

Despite his denial, photographs and witnesses confirm that on 1/5/2020, two days after being sworn into office, Senator Tommy Tuberville went to Trump Hotel, DC, to attend a planning meeting for the 1/6 attack on the Capitol. During the attack, while in the Capitol, Turberville received a call from Donald Trump.

Tommy Tuberville is a traitor.

The Senator from Alabama, Tommy Turberville, is affecting our military readiness by holding up military appointments, single-handedly stalling hundreds of military promotions.

Thanks to Turberville, for the first time since 1859, the U.S. Marine Corps does not have a leader. In two months, the terms of the staff of the Army, Navy, Air Force, along with the chairperson of the Joint Chiefs will end. Those roles will be vacant.

His excuses:

  • Turberville objects to the new policy that would root out white supremacy in the service. He doesn’t want racists discriminated against.
  • His other reason is to protest of the Pentagons’ abortion policy, the reproductive care for female service members. Over 20% of our military is now comprised women. He claims his “religious” beliefs before the defense of the United States.

Tommy Turberville is a misogynist.

Tommy Turberville is a threat to national security.

A rule in the Senate gives a single member the power to block. Our system of government needs reform.

Crickets from his republican colleagues.

There is always more.

Tommy Tuberville likes insider trading.

  1. Seems like undermining the military in this way is consistent with his insurrectionist agenda. But, more than that I suggest that the DOJ and news media should be examining if he has ties to the Russian and Chinese governments.

  2. Lydia–are you OK? I’ve been watching David Muir…I mean watching the news with David Muir and they showed some awful weather in Chicago. And you have your back surgery soon, too? Thinking of you, my friend, and crossing my fingers all is well.

    1. Thank you, Lois! The tornadoes missed us. We heard the warning to take cover, and my mom kept me informed on all the possible tornado locations the entire time. We got lucky; I worry the insurance co will drop me if I file another claim.
Speaking of which, I’ve been thinking about you too. I see Farmers (my company) left Florida. What a nightmare.
Are you moving to Alabama, or just on vacation? I hope your weather is cooperating either way.

My surgery is scheduled for Monday. Thank you for asking. I haven’t mentioned it again because I’m trying not to whine. But since you asked, I will: It’s my neck again, different vertebrae, same incision, more metal.
This will be the most fun I’ve had in a while. I say that because I met the anesthesiologist this week, and he said, “we’ll have a great time; I’m your bartender.” (Keep ’em coming.) I think I’ll wear my blue paper dress.
I know this won’t be my last surgery. I’m tired of being a patient.
I’ll share photos of my post-op food, asap. Yum.

      1. Well, good news about the tornadoes! I’ve been in FL too long, Lydia–plus husband is a native/local, so move from paradise?! Unthinkable. I’m with State Farm and they have raised our car insurance so much, I know I will have a case of the vapors when they send me my homeowners’ insurance…if they don’t decide to leave the state, too. I am sick about it.
You know, when I received my cancer diagnosis several years ago, it had metastasized to my neck. I have three disks fused–go titanium. I don’t know what I would do if I had to go through those surgeries again. I had anterior and then two weeks later, posterior neck surgery. Lydia, I will be thinking about you. You know…thoughts and prayers. 😆 Seriously, I hope it all goes well. Rock that blue paper gown!

      2. Mine are anterior. This time I had to have an ENT Dr see if my vocal cords have scarring from the 1st surgery, because “they’ll be moved again.” (All clear.) I’ve never thought about what exactly they do in there, and this was too much information. (Just have the bartender hook me up and stop talking.)

I’m sorry you had to go through that, but so happy you are a survivor. Illness is a wake up call.
